I thought, there was a 10K max for returning citizens?

Read the CBSA website carefully again. If over a certain time period, returning citizens can bring their furniture personal belongings from their current country of residence to Canada duty free.

I meant to say 10K on an item, as that is indeed what the site says at least where I Read

1) GTF applies once only - in your 1st landing as a newcomer.
2) I'm not from middle east, but probably any brand name cell phone may work as long as it is 3.5G or higher

Besides, u can bring-in the goods as many times as u desire... in parts... as many yrs. as u deem fit [once the B4 is stamped on 1st landing].

Qorax
Ps.: Buy the cellphone here. It'd be cheaper & u get more varieties.

Thanks Qorax and Steaky for the quick replies :)
Cleared my confusion!
Regards....

Nope. You could use a step-up transformer, but the performance is never the same. Don't bring any appliances , they are not expensive here.
