Good to know that you got job in two months. Many times some stories which we hear here are quite terrible... :)

I have qualification of MBA (Finance) but experience relates to Accounts for more than 10 years. How do you see the response of job market for me? Any advice for success there? I shall land in April, Insha Allah...

daer ashique, good to know you got job so early, congrats. Ashique, when it comes to interview calls, what is the usual trend here...do the employers call for a personal interview or it can be on phone / Skype as well ! What is your profession, if you like to share and did you get the job in your profession!

Dear Hasni,

Thanks.Well the employers normally call for a personal interview.First i got a survival job at Walmart.Served there for 6 months. Now i am working at supply chain management of Loblaw. But one of the most important things to get job here is you have to have reference here..

Dear Hasni

Good question , +1 for you brother

Stay Blessed

Team can some one help answering below...

Hi Aquib & Team - First of all thanks for sharing loads of info; It certainly helped.
I was wondering if you could throw some light on cost of living.
I am moving to Canada/Ottawa in a couple of months from Chennai
My salary is decided at 80k; I checked on the net and I might get $4700 - $5000 per month as my net (correct me if I am wrong)
How much will I be able to save if I am spending conservative; we are family of 3; wife and 3 yr old son.
Also is DTDC the best option to bring in extra goods?
Let me know if you can help by answering these questions

Thanks

Dear Hasni,

If you wanna apply for walmart then you have to give an online exam of walmart. If you pass then they will call you over there for physical interview.Initially the starting salary is 9.90$/hour.It depends upon experience.I am just stating for whose doesn't posses any Canadian experience.Normally you will be hired as part time.As a part time you will get normally 20-30 hours per week.If you been promoted to full time then you will get 36 Hours/week.

Dear Kunwar,

Thanks a lot for your advice. Can you please explain a little bit more what courses did you attend and what was the duration and cost of the courses? Also, were these in your field?

Thank you so much for this informative piece...

Can you kindly give an example of courses one can do? What about studying for masters & does it help with bagging a standard job?

God bless!
