Hi everyone,

Sorry if this question has been asked before but I am new to this forum. If the landing document is blurred and cannot be photocopied clearly( appears very faded), would it be considered destroyed essentially? Would I have to follow the procedure of destroyed document stated on their website. Thank you very much in advance.

I believe it currently takes 6 months to receive a new copy of your landing document - which would delay the submission of your citizenship application. Are you sure it can't be photocopied clearly?

same issue with me as well, because COPR documents has 4 set of copy and this is filled manually by pen.

The copy they give us is the 3rd one. so information does not imprint correctly or in very light shade.

so if ORIGINAL we got is not clear, how come copy will appear correctly.

SO, I made a sticky note and mentioned this with COPR document I sent.

Hi,
I have the same issue and the point that canadp is making is good. we have an original document that is not clear itself.
So, I think that CIC is already aware of this issue because we are not the first applicant that provided a faded copy of the confirmation of permanent residence.
Thank you for raising this issue.

I am not aware of the destroyed document procedure, but I would still send the photocopy and send a letter along with the copy stating the reason for the quality of document.

Have you tried playing with the resolution on the printer / photocopier? Sometimes this can help to make faded letters look clearer. This is what I did with my husband's CORP.

Rightly said scylla.

Try it and CIC knows the problem. You are not the first applicant.

I also faced the same problem and tried photocopy from two/three stores and the best one (among them) was sent and accepted.
