Hi All

I applied for Alberta under Skilled worker and got the GC approved.
I complete landing around 25 August 2015 and returned to USA on temporary work visa for my job.

Few questions -
1) During landing I told officer I am headed to toronto to friends place temporaryily and will later decide on settleing.
so he gave a form and told me to fax it with permanent address once I find my own place.. My question is I'm gettting a room in Toronto for rent and give that as my permanent address and not Alberta ..would that be problem for getting my GC card.
2) If I stay in USA for next 6-12 months and theen try to go to Cananda would it be problem .. if asked at port of entry what plausible reason would make it safe to enter canada around that time .. ot should I keep entering and exiting monthly or so.

Pls advice thx

1) Yes - giving an address in Toronto could end up being a problem since you applied under AINP. You need to provide an Alberta address if you want to avoid issues.
2) No - this won't be a problem. Go ahead.

If you got your PR by applying as a Provincial Norminee from Alberta, you're required to reside there.

Hi

I am not sure if I applied under Provincial nominee ..
On my generic application form IMM0008ENU form here what I filled -

Program under which applying - Economic
Category under which applying - Skilled worker
Where do you intend to live in Canada? - Alberta - Calgary was my answer ..

Can anyone confirm this is same as Provincial Nominee or AIPN (previous reply).

Please let me know thx

hi can someone answer this for me pls..

Since you applied as Federal Skilled Worker, you are free to settle in Toronto. You can update your new address online using the web address on the form.

Thx

So I landed in canada already at the leventein bridge at niagara falls... but since I did not have a permanent address .. the officer gave me a form and asked me to submit permanent address when I get one and then they will mail my PR card ..

So I assume now that you confirmed I can settle in toronto that I can give toromto permanent address to get my PR card?

Also if I am outside USA when I apply for PR card will it take longer to arrive than when I am in Canada..thx
