Landing at CIC office in Edmonton ,any experience?

I planning landing at Canada place too, i guess right now shouldn't be a lot of ppl.

Hi everyone! I just want to ask what are the requirements if your landing in CIC office in Edmonton? Do they really need to check the proof of funds? What if you are currently working here in Canada, does the proof of funds still matters to them? Thank you in advance!

They only asked for valid passport, COPR and current immigration document ( work permit in my case).

Where did you see/read about funds ?

Hi Hammer. Thank you so much for the reply. I forgot which thread but I think maybe it was applicable (but I am not so sure) for outlanders.. but like it was not 100% sure.

I just received passports with Permanent Resident Visa and COPR today. I called IRCC to request an appointment at CIC office in Edmonton. After 45 minutes waiting on the phone, I was able to talk to an agent. She was very nice and gave me congratulations. She told me that CIC office in Edmonton would call me in 6-8 weeks. From reading previous posts in the thread, I am hopeful that I will hear back from CIC office in Edmonton in the next few days. If I do not receive a call from them in the next few days or if they do not offer me an appointment within 2 weeks, I will do flag-polling at the border sometimes before the end of this month.

Can't speak for Edmonton office, but for landing at IRCC Calgary my experience is as follows:

Upon receipt of COPR I contacted the CIC-Hotline. Also to me it was mentioned I should expect a call from IRCC office within the next 4-6 weeks.
However, after 2 days already I received an email from IRCC Calgary office with an appointment date the following week.

All in all from calling CIC-Hotline until attending the "landing" appointment it was about 7 business days (calculating Mo-Fr).

What is a landing appointment? I plan to land into Edmonton in the first week of October since i have an interview there. There is a change of planes in Toronto. Do i need to call in IRCC for an appointment for my landing?

landing appointment is for those who don't want to travel to the border for landing (called also flag pole) and want to land in a local IRCC office instead.

How did you call them? I only know one number that belongs to Cic and they don’t give any number for Edmonton Office
