landing a job in canada

My spouse has given 2 successful in person interviews. its been around a week for one role and the other interview was 3 days ago. The client/company liked her. the response back was we will get back to you once. they have not said no, but no one is coming back with an offer either. is this how things work here? does it take a little more time?

This is not unique to Canada. It happens everywhere. It could be anything. They may still be interviewing people who have already been scheduled. The positions might be on hold due to budget reasons. They may be working on approvals to get her on-board. It could be anything.
