Dear Members

I am working in an educational institution where my responsibility is to conduct lab sessions for the students of Petroleun Engineering Dept.

In our institute for this job we have two designations with exact same salary and benefits i.e. Lab Technologist and Teaching Assistant. Based on prior backgrounds we are assigned designation. My offer letter says Lab Technologist but I would select my NOC code for Teaching Assistant b/c of the duties I perform.

So in that case what should I request my manager to write on my job letter, Lab technologist, Teaching Assistant or lab technologist/teaching assistant (if it is the right way as it would clear all the confusion).

Notice here Hrsdc has confirmed that my NOC Conde is 4012 Teaching Assistant based on the information I provided earlier.

Sure, if your employer is willing to do that that's fine.

Otherwise you'd still be fine, job titles are irrelevant the important factor is whether the NOC you've chosen matches the duties and responsibilities of your reference letter.
