LA Passport Turn Around Time

Is there a way we can get in touch and ask the LA office people to expedite the process? I really need my PP urgently as i want to travel on July 4th..i did not include any letter expressing the urgency when i sent the PP in the express envelope which i should have done actually..but what do i do now? Can anyone please advise?
Will sending an email work?

I sent email/fax couple of times and i didnt get any reply back. So i went to LA office and asked for my passports back as i have to go to india (and i already postponed once waiting for the passport). They gave my passports back without visa and they asked me to send them back once i returned

Gates2012: Thanks for your reply. Even i sent emails on their general enquiry email id but they don't respond. And i stay in Portland so going to LA by air to pick up my PP is not possible for me. I want the PP back with the Canada visa not without it. May be i can try and fax them.

Could anyone please throw more light upon the envelopes used for sending and return of PP?? I just realized i sent it through UPS and not USPS. The website says they will not return PP using commercial courier envelopes and instead send via regular mail. Has anyone has similar experience sending PP via commercial courier? Please help. Now i am even more worried than before

Can I send my husband's passport and my passport in the same USPS Express Mail Flat rate envelope or is it required to be sent in 2 separate envelopes ?

Am applying online to LA consulate for canadian visitor visa.....I read so many forums and the processing time says an avg time of 30 to 45 business days from all the experiences that people have shared....I wanted to get my stamping done before aug 15th , 2013.....And have my wedding in india in sept 1st week....Is stamping at canada a good option?

When the stamped passport/s are mailed back by LA Consulate , do they send an email notification informing us ?

LA consulate received my passport on July 5th. I sent it via UPS. I included a return envelope too. I checked on July 11th. The return envelope is not activated. Can someone please let me know if LA consulate sends the passports via UPS?
