Although there are more applicants coming in after October, I think it doesn't make sense for me to add everyone here since the purpose is probably to track the progress after the surge in application, so I will update information based on the Oct spreadsheet and only add whoever requests to be added in the thread from later dates (i.e .I will not check Nov, Dec, and later spreadsheets to add all Kitchener office applicants here).

Anyway, I hope we start seeing someone getting their test invite. @canada4us2017 has told me he is still waiting for test invite, so we need to be a bit more patient for now.

I think there are a few reasons that we don't see people getting test invite yet from the list.

Second, the earliest in processing date in the list is November 27, which is a bit later than the overall October applicants (I think mid November). Third, it might be an indication that Kitchener office is relatively slow compared to some fast moving offices. Actually, there are still other offices like Kitchener that hasn't sent out test invite. Of course, I (and you) will never know whether these are correct or not.

Bottom line is, I hope we see someone in the list getting the invitation before end of next week.

If you look at the stats in the spreadsheet for the last year, it seems on the face of it to be a bit quicker than many offices actually, but there isn't really enough data to be conclusive.
Sometimes things just seem slow when you're waiting - it's like a trip on the 401 I guess - we know we might encounter a queue, but when we're in the queue it doesn't feel so good.

In the normal run of things, if tunpi's case was average, and if there wasn't a big load of us all who were skewing the workflow from October onwards, tunpi would get his test invitation about a month after IP, and the test would be a couple of weeks after the invite, so if we assume Christmas takes a few days too, he/she would be invited at the end of January or start of February, for a date in mid February. I agree with duplex's guess and would suppose that the extra applications could push the test to be later than February, so let's guess hopefully at March, and hope to see the first few invites for people coming through soon.

Many of us have to travel in the coming months. If you need to then it is best to try not to go for more than a couple of weeks, and try to book tickets that can be changed (easier said than done). Keep an eye on your email and get someone trusted to check your mail if you need to go away in February. They could call you if you get anything from IRCC. That way you will not get back and find you missed a test.

On another note, I received my latest GCMS notes yesterday (From Dec 08 order date) and nothing relevant, the only thing I noticed was that on December 11th my application was still sitting at CPC Sydney Registry waiting to be transferred to IRCC Kitchener. It seems the flow from CPC-S to Kitchener is very slow, but let's assume Kitchener got my application on December 12th so having it in processed on December 18th (according to eCAS) is not that bad for this local office. Let's hope for the best.

Someone I know applied from Kitchener in March, had their test in July, had a bunch of personal discussions with citizenship officers regarding their case due to some disputes (including a 2-2.5 month delay in order to submit proof), finally had decision made status around Christmas, and now received an oath invite for end of Jan. Can't speak about how fast they are in comparison to other offices, but if all is well with the applications, I think we'll have some citizens within the next 6 months, even with the increase in applications. Hang tight!

Yes, we shall wait. Also, in the list we have three people getting "in process" status before end of November, however it seems that only @canada4us2017 is an active member, while another two either doesn't come back here (@CanadaApplication126) or is shared through someone else (@AA_UW). I think I'm okay with that. 6-9 months for a citizenship application is not bad.
