Hey Charlie and jahlove! Glad to see you're still hanging on too ... jahlove, positive vibes going out for you too :D

I personally like the quote “when you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on”. So tie a gigantic knot hang on folks!!

Thanks NaeNae, i sure need some

Good morning forum family and a big Congrats to ABA, Island-girl, Jesus girl and mylilangel. Well deserved and you are making room for the rest. I noticed some discussion about some getting through before others and we all can relate as we have gone through it. I can be difficult to to understand why this happens but one thing we have learned through this is no 2 applications are the same, no 2 IO are the same and no 2 VO's are the same. I can reassure everyone that the waiting is very worthwhile and those moments of despair will soon pass once you get the call. Save your sanity for the things you can control as once your app is filed there is nothing you can do but pray you are one of the lucky ones with a good IO.
Love the jokes Charlie, I'll add one as well for bonus Tuesday for the girls that got the call. Feel free to try some os these at work, just to lighten your day

How to Maintain a Healthy Level of Insanity in the Workplace
1) Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

2) Find out where your boss shops and buy exactly the same outfits. Wear them one day after you boss does. This is especially effective if your boss is a different gender.

3) Make up nicknames for all your coworkers and refer to them only by these names. "That's a good point, Sparky." "No, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you there, Cha-cha."

4) Send e-mail to the rest of the company telling them exactly what you're doing. For example: "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the bathroom."

5) Hi-Lite your shoes. Tell people you haven't lost them as much since you did this.

6) Hang mosquito netting around your cubicle. When you emerge to get coffee or a printout or whatever, slap yourself randomly the whole way.

7) Put a chair facing a printer. Sit there all day and tell people you're waiting for your document.

8) Every time someone asks you to do something, anything, ask them if they want fries with that.

9) Encourage your colleagues to join you in a little synchronized chair-dancing.

10) Put your trash can on your desk. Label it "IN."

11) Feign an unnatural and hysterical fear of staplers.

12) Send e-mail messages saying there's free pizza or donuts or cake in the lunch room. When people drift back to work complaining that they found none, lean back, pat your stomach and say, "Oh you've got to be faster than that."

13) Put decaf in the coffee maker for three weeks. Once everyone has withdrawn from caffeine addiction, switch to espresso.

Good morning everyone congratulations jesusgirl and island girl. I agree that it feels as though July was a big vacation month and mabe everones gone back to work. Oh and Abo congrats too!!

Keep the faith everyone, stay busy and stay strong. Lets encourage each other and support each other. My laptop died and I am without it , I had no idea how that thing was my security blanket. I feel lonely without it for real. Hopefully it can get repaired.

Have a beautiful day guys!

yw jahlove ;D

nice one canuck! lol I'm sending that to my colleagues and see who does what on the list lol

Good afternoon nae, how are you feeling, I'm betting starting to get excited eh!

Good afternoon canuck! I'm feeling large and uncomfortable but that's how it goes at this point lol. Both baby and I are healthy which I'm very greatful for. Yes, hubby and I are getting excited. He just painted the baby's room and now we have to furnish it.

How are you and mrs canuck doing?

We are settling in very nicely, have the odd stare down but making up is a blast. She has opened up her own hair, nails and makeup shop in one of our spare bedrooms and is gaining quite a client list. You know the natural beauty in Jamaicans help in a big way.
You only have a couple months to go now and fixing up the nursery is a nice way to spend it. Say hi to the Mr for me

Love that joke, canuck! I have one more to add to it:

When anyone asks you to do something, answer by referring to yourself in the third person: Canuck would love to do this for you, but he's tied up until Thursday, maybe you can come back then?

Good on the missis for getting a client list going. It's a little far to come, but since I cut my hair about once a year, maybe I'll drop by and join her client list too, haha! :P

She'd love to have ya Charlie. The fact she is the only one around for hundreds of miles that can do up afro hair will certainly add to her list. As for mine, a short walk in a stiff breeze usually flattens down what little I got left

Hahaha, just do what my hubby does, and shave it all off. He's not bald, but mostly he has a little stubble bristling out of his scalp, he trims it that often, haha. Either that or he shapes it to grow into a mohawk. Him doing that has made for some interesting walks down the road here in Kingston. :-X

Hi everyone!!!

I want to congratulate everyone that has gotten updates...

I just want to add onto comments that were made about the wait times.. unfortunatly the files don't go in order but i remember when i was waiting for a while close to a year and people that had waited only 6 months were getting through... I was happy for them but inside I was a little disappointed and upset why is my file not going through??? what did I do wrong?? what could I have done better??? why is it taking so long??? crying everyday because I missed my husband... We all want our partners at home and unfortunatly some have to wait longer than others... I believe application should be finalized by the order in which they were received but unfortunatly that is not the case :( I guess this feeling of happiness for your fellow immigration buddy but yet at the same time disappointment can only be understood once you have experienced it... some may never experience and some like me will experience it more than once.....

Well said L-W your insight is valuable, and perhaps needed for those who have just began the process, our excitement for our fellow member does not diminish our own frustration in the KNG methods.

thanks irving!!!!
