funny how things go... hubby was counting down the days to come to canada and now we are counting down the days to JA... life sure is funny!

Life tends to come full circle in many ways, I find. I bet you guys are just excited for this trip as you were for him to land. I'm pretty sure there are some very excited people here in Jamaica who can hardly wait to meet Princess Tiana .

Yep, I hope there are more updates this week as it rolls on, the days of summer are nearing and now is a good time to travel, LOL. All too soon it will be September, the temperatures will start plummeting and people may not be nearly so excited about packing up to leave Jamaica, haha!

I find that now that my application is (hopefully) transferred to KG, I am not so worried about it anymore. I am more focused on getting a new job now; staying at home is wonderful, but I miss working. I have looked on it as a sign of my independence and usefulness since I was 20 years old, downtime like this has been rare and thankfully short-lived, because after a while I start questioning my worth to society, LOL. Now that KG's timeline has increased to 17 months ( ), I am even more determined to work again, to have an outside focus through the waiting period.

Well, I think I need to turn on the fan, this mugginess due to this trough is enervating! Come next week hurricane season starts, I hope all the Jamaicans have their emergency plans well thought-out, they are predicting a very active season again this year, and if the earthquakes are anything to go by, Mother Nature is in a foul mood this year. ???

dunno how to do that UPDATE thing but I'm over the moon happy today!!

Got a email in my inbox this morning from Canadian Immigration stating my file is now in Kingston, and I was approved to Sponser my husband and child. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! I talked to immigration this morning about my file...becasue I'm trying to figure out why they say I havn't paid the permanent residence fee when I paid EVERYTHING up front at one time....and my file was looked at and sent to Kingston in barely over twenty days!!! I am soooo excited!!!

Has anyone ever been told in the letter that they defered a payment and would be contacted to pay it later except they already paid everything upfront?

Has it been 33 days though? I calculated it at twenty some from the time the recieved my file. I might be wrong because my brain is in super happy mode? The immigration lady that I talked to this morning said it was sent off a while ago..and has already been recieved by kingston, I guess they just sent me an email today!! But its 33 days I guess if you go from the day I got my update email!!

Yes, April 21 to May 24 would be 33 days. The timeline is not work days, it is calendar days.

charlie i just popped in to see wah gwaan and i noticed the update list doesnt include missingmyboo her hubby landed in april ..thought i would mention that
