I am going out for a bit with my girlfriend today, having a little spa treat/lunch date to keep the positive vibe going for her. She's been really enjoying the walkouts, in spite of quarreling that I am killing her when we are walking.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday I checked my status and the address change I submitted last week has been corrected (they spelled my streetname wrong) so it means that they are working lol. However, I tried to check my status this am and you cannot imput your date of birth or country of birth because the scroll is not working hmmmm....

Anyways it was a rainy wak this morning but the rain is making everything green and washing the dregs of winter away. I have been making myself go for morning walks on the trails here and after 4 days only I already feel a difference. Just getting out there and enjoying the birds and the flowers helps me realize how depressed I have been- not good or healthy. It was hard to get out those first couple of times I had to really push myself outa bed, but man do I feel great when I get back.

Just got back from the spa and walking about in the malls with my girlfriend, catching up on what hubby has been doing since I was gone by chatting with him on our website's chatroom. Poor thing, the predicted sunny weather has not materialized and his garden is still languishing under the lashing rains and wind.

Hey CharlieD...hows the weather down in Kingston?? Guess us two ladies better enjoy this sunny climate while we still can.

Thats my goal for this coming year or however long our application takes. To enjoy the best parts about Jamaica...because I know when hubby and I are in Canada...there is so much we are gonna miss like crazy. I don't want to spend so much time focusing on the application...I forget to appreciate and enjoy the blessings right in front of me. Living these years in Jamaica has been the most frusterating and cool experience of my life. I want to remember my last year here as a young lady..as the best year ever. Because when we retire in Jamaica...it will be a whole different experience...if we do!! We may just do the winter home thing!

Hey SmoothiesQueen, it's lovely and sunny with a little breeze the past couple days. There has been rain over the past couple weeks, I am pleased to say. The droughts over the past few years has taught me to dread this time of year in Kingston, but not this year so far.

Since the application was transferred, my husband has been very optimistic and happy, and talking about my "homecoming" even more. The reality of it has hit me, and I have been looking at Jamaica a little differently. I talk to him about places I still want to share with him when he comes here, as I know that when I leave Jamaica, it will be awhile before we return, and there are places here to be seen and enjoyed together. I particularly loved living in the Ocho Rios area, and still want him to see it a little more than just driving through offers.

My husband definitely wants to do the winter home thing. We are still debating that, as I have told him that northern summers are not my favourite time, and I would rather be in Jamaica during the summer than winter.

I have a question when will me fiance and his daughter have to do medical do they do it before we submit the application or wait until its requested also is it true if medical is sent with application its processed faster anyone knows

Family class applications MUST be accompanied by the medical. Adding the medical will not speed up the application, but sending it without it will cause your application to be returned as incomplete.

Do you mind if I ask you a question? Where did you send your address update to? We have been trying to update my husband's address for over 4 months now and even with the MP's help, it still hasn't been done lol. Any tips?
