Lonely - where are you? I thought I saw you say northern Ontario once, is that right? My husband is in Elliot Lake up there in the north, LOL. Fortunately for him, I love small towns, living in Kingston sometimes feels like punishment to me, although he is a big city boy and loved it here.

OMG elliot lake is not far maybe an hour and half away... I am in Sudbury, Ontario... which is the biggest city in northern ontario... we have close to 250 000 population with all the surroundings... I am originally from Montreal, Quebec... and moved to Ontario about 10 years ago with my mom cause I was in high school then... I moved to Timmins which is about 3 hours north of sudbury but I came to Sudbury 5 years ago for college and university and I am still here as I am still in university.. but I have no intentions in returning back to Timmins... I will either stay here or go in the Toronto area... well I can say that you will get lots of snow in this area... I hope you got a big winter jacket to keep you warm...

lol! i was born in elliot lake... lol!

havent been back since.. but i heard its a retirement town.

Hey neighbour! :D My husband goes into Sudbury to do occasional shopping, see his specialist (he has a blood disorder) and generally do anything he can't get done in Elliot Lake.

Yes, I have heard about the snow, LOL. I make him go outside and take pictures for me every time there is a new snowfall, haha. He says when I finally land and start to experience it for myself, I will not be so fascinated by it :P He is already planning to purchase a winter wardrobe for me at some point this year, probably later in the year if the prices go down a bit for spring/summer.

Sanchester - yes, it's marketed that way, from everything I have seen. Hubby has been living there for about 12 years now, he and his father bought the house when his father retired, LOL.

Sanchester where are you now??? Toronto???

Charlie... you will laugh cause my hubby gets me to take pictures all the time too... I guess snow is something unknown to you guys so it's interesting.. once you get here you will get tired of it pretty fast lol... I already purshased a winter jacket for my husband last spring I got it on sale lol... I figured as long as he has the jacket then he will be ok to get out of the airport until we can purshace more winter stuff for him... My hubby is in KG too which part are you in???

Lonely.... I live in Toronto..Downtown.

LOL, lonely! Yeah, it has been years since the Blizzard of '96, that was my last winter in NY, so I kind of miss snow sometimes.

I am in the Half Way Tree area of Kingston, I live and work in this area.

Sanchester - hubby was born in Toronto, and raised in Scarborough to be more precise. Now he lives in Elliot Lake. Life is funny that way!
