Happy New Year to Everyone!! congrats Nae Nae!! You must be so excited! Congrats to everyone else who got good news since I was last here. It's great to catch up on all the news! Hubby leaves for Bahamas on Friday so we are pretty sad around here BUT we did have an amazing Christmas together so I shouldn't complain. He got word that his paperwork made it to Jamaica and got a case number that differs from what I got here in Canada. Can we track progress with that does any one know? I'm praying that we hear results soon...our boys sure don't like all this living apart business...and let's face it ... neither do we!! His letter also said they'd give him notice if they need an interview which i'm hoping they dont' so this will all be over sooner!! Keep the faith all.!

SICK MY UNDERSTANDING IS AS SOON AS U RECEIVE THE PR CARD U CAN TRAVEL CAUSE THEY UNDERSTAND U WILL HAVE THINGS TO DO OR RAP UP SO JUST MAKE SURE U DON'T LEAVE WITH OUT THE CARD THAT'S UR ONLY WAY BACK IN CANADA AND IF U LEAVE IT U WOULD HAVE TO APPLY FOR VISITOR VISA TO RE-ENTER

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

LOVED the coming home story Canuck! All the best to you both!! Please keep us updated.... Love to hear success stories!! :-*

Nae - congrats on the call girl...... Hubby will be home soon..... before you know it!!

Can't remember who asked but I ordered CAIPS notes...... actually after our interview. IT WAS NOT BLANK! This was about 15 months into the process and our file was far from normal. Like chelley said, CAIPS are only useful for ppl who have abnormal circumstances.

WELCOME TO ALL THE NEWBIES!!! you're in good hands ;D

Hi everyone,

I just have a question for you lonely wife because I'm trying to gauge by everyones timeline how long it takes to get the doc request and you're just a couple months before me....

Your timeline says that you got a doc request the same time your file was transfered to Kingston? to apply from mississauga first? am i confused in understanding? were you missing documents? or did they request the marriage and his birth certificate at the same time you were approved as a sponsor?

I've just never seen a timeline like yours... or maybe im going blind and misread the timeline. sorry if I did in advance.

I just want my husband to get his doc request already, and I know we havent even been waiting long at all, but everyone this year is going through so fast and I wanna jump on that!! lol..

thank you everyone!!!! can't wait for hubby to come to Canada ;D

forgot to mention one thing....those of you who are my FB friends, please don't post anything there cause hubby wants to keep it a surprise to my family

Update for whoever updates. Hubby had his med done in August 25th. Forgot to mention that one ;)

aba - you can update that on your own profile information - we update when you receive a request, the AOR, submit requested docs, have an interview .... that kind of thing. We have your status as "sponsorship approved" .... has anything happened since then?

Sick, my hubby arrived in Canada June 30th and had to travel back to JA September 9th for a funeral.

Nae, so happy for you my dear!! :o Blessings to you & your hubby. At least you know you are going to prepare the way for him to come only a couple of weeks (if that) behind you - we hope! :D What a great way to start the New Year! Congratulations again!

Canuck that was an awesome story. Such a good feeling!

My hubby looks out and says "Wow, lots of snow - when does it go away?" Then we had this huge thaw with +8 temperatures and he's like "Wow, no snow - when does it come back?" LOL

Who's next?! Step right up - KG we are ready to unite more families together! ;D

Everyone be blessed & Stay blessed!

Hi all happy new year, i am newly registered to this site but i have always been reading, it really nice to see all the success stories. My husband is a Canadian citizen and is now filing for me. The application was sent to CIC in September 2010, sponsorship was approved in October 2010, documents were sent to Jamaica around the same time, and i received the AOR on December 1, 2010. my concern is though that there is not a date on the letter to let me know when they actually received my file in Kingston. I tried checking online but there is nothing there.

Jahlove

Welcome girl you'll enjoy this forum don't worry about it they will contact u if something is wrong give thanks that they replied

Hi Jahlove,

we have the same timeline... my husbands AOR didnt have a date on it either. I just count back to when he received it. He receieved his AOR in November and it was sent to him a week before he got it.

He cant log into ECAS eitehr yet and on mine is doesnt say anything either.

I wouldn't worry. We're pretty lucky that we receieved an AOR so fast.. lots odf people don't from what i underrstand. Its just waiting now.

is it just me or am i crazy and can't add things to my list by my name?

Thanks guys guess all i can do now is just sit and wait as everyone else, thanks guys.

Canuck... thanks again for the info... I did not include color copies with my application... I had send photocopies... but hubby got the document request at the beginning of November... so we are gonna wait and see... I am staying positive that they are working on our stuff...

Chelley... thanks again girl... it really helps to see how long it took for everyone... I will show hubby the tracker... I will write my own stats in there as well so that maybe I can help others also :P Very appreciative of all the great help guys ;D

Highly... you’re too funny defiantly made me laugh... I just feel annoying sometimes I wanna know everything lol... oh well I guess we are here to help one another lol

Abacogringo.. my hubby B******** file number does not work and we have it since almost 2 mths now... from what I know looks like sometimes you don’t see nothing until some people have actually landed... so maybe you will have better luck than me lol...

Maplesyrup... I am the one who asked about the caips file... but I have only waited 6 mths so far so I think I will wait a little longer as Nae Nae just got the call and I am 2 weeks after her in filing dates... not sure if that makes a difference but I would assume that they have to go by the date that the application came in. Anyways, thanks for the info...

Sanchester... I was accepted as I sponsor on July 6, 2010... then my file was transferred to KG... my hubby then received the AOR and the document request on November 10, 2010... it was 2 different envelopes but was received the same day... By the way my e-cas don’t say nothing at all either... nor does hubbies.. it wont even log on...

Jahlove... welcome to the site.. the letter my hubby got in the beginning of November had a date written by hand under the first paragraph on the AOR letter.. from what I see it takes about 2 weeks to transfer from Mississauga to KG....
