If I am not mistaken it means acknowledgement of receipt (AOR)......something that's starting to get on my last nerves I put in my application on may 16th and now its July 14th and unless I'm counting wrong its past the now 56 day mark and when I put the application in they gave 43 days..ugh I just wanna see something.... Like hello did it even reach the damn office or is my application just floating in mail space (I know over reacting) but its annoying I wanna change my name before I go back Christmas so I can travel in my married name and these ppl are taking their sweet time.....I have already went back to Jamaica and returned home since the application was submitted and was hopeful I would see something once back....but nope Nada!.....I emailed them today so let's see if I get a response......

Don't worry, it's there, just be patient. I know it's hard to say.. They are working on last years submissions now. Just prepare yourself that it will take 6 month to a year. In the meantime , change your name it doesn't affect your application at all. They know you who you are ,bc you have to show your marriage license anyways to prove the name change. I walked around with my marriage licence for 4 months. Plan your trips, live your life. The waiting process is emotionally draining just clinge to each other and talk often to build your relationship more.

They asked my husband to bring his passport and a updated police check to his interview? Do they typically keep it or send them off and call for the passport at a later date?

They ask me too for pp and pc but they already have i update police record from May.

Very true! And I have been honestly trying to mentally prepared myself for at least a year wait....but I thought I could just stay in Canada and prepare for hubbys arrival solely HA! That thought lasted a month I was like F**** it!.....Ima still travel back and forth until whenever bc who knows when he will get through after reviewing the spread sheet I see there is really no pattern just waves and if I follow these immigration ppl mi ah guh mad! Lol

Hello just received a call from kvo they were just confirming if i have received email for a interview. So nice of them to call back i think kvo is doing there best for us to join our next half.

That was nice of them. They seem to be well eager to get the ball rolling on interviews. I am happy to see some movements

Where can I find the way they do the applications? 2 step process I hear.... The first step of this process is called the selection decision, examines the relationship between the applicant and sponsor. The following step is a little bit quicker, and it is where the government decides whether or not the applicant meets statutory requirements. Where do I find time lines on this? Like from step one to step two how long it typically takes?

I wouldn't mind get it the same day. Would really want to be there for my wife birthday.
