it can take up to 3-4 months.. it comes in the mail.

I think your real question was if he could travel to the US with id PR CARD/ landing papers ONLY...the answer is NO he would need to get a US visa. after becoming a canadian citizen however, he can travel across the border with the passport only.

One thing I was wondering...once he's over here, will we be able to take a drive to the US with just his landed papers?
No he'll need a visa. He will still be a Jamaican citizen, and they are required to have a visa to enter the US. You might be able to get a one day visa by visiting the border and paying a fee they then take his finger prints etc

Hey all, just wondering why no one seems to answer when I post or ask a question. Is it that no one has an idea?

I'm in the same boat as you. Just paid my fees last Sunday and I haven't heard anything as yet. I filed in Jan. I was researching that online and I'm seeing various times. There's actually another forum topic on this site specifically for RPRF - again, varying times - some its a couple of weeks and others its months....hopefully someone can answer this for you that's in this group because I'd love to see too.

Toronto blues,

It really goes by a case by case timeline... i have been going over the spreadsheet for kington time and time again and the other thing is the data doesnt always state the date the RPRF was request wen it was paid and then wen the ppr was requested ....that would have given u a better estimation.

You see some ppl getting it within a 2 week turn around time others 2 months i guess its how much evidence u give in aiding with ur case..make the case easier to evaluate you know u have some ppl who are good aat organizing and dates and documenting and telling the love stories ..dem get tru quick quick once the process starts ...but still you guys should be very grateful cause this year Kingston is working really fast compared to the last 2 previous years.

So I am just venting my husbands papers are being process throught POS office he got a
letter on June 1 stating he is in the final stage of the application and he should send his passport and two
pics in so on Thursday June 4 my husband sent the documents throught fedex to trinidad and
tobago for some reason fedex delivered my husbands passport to someone in New Jersey the
person who recieved the package drop it off at a fedex drop off center which contacted my husband
saying his package was delivered to the wrong address, anyway the lady that called said fedex would
pick up the package and deliver it to the correct adress.
Fedex picked up the pacakage but brought it to their overgoods department somewhere in Tennesse me and my
husband spent all last week speaking with fedex representatives who could not locate the package
because it was in their wearhouse. Finally on friday I emailed a letter stating what had happened to the
president of fedex that was the only time they actually took action and found the package, which is missing my
husbands pictures so the package had to be sent back to jamaica on friday for my husband to retake the pictures then
send it to Trinidad. I had very nerve racking week dealing with fedex but I am grateful that my husbands
passport was found.. People on here shared their experiences with fedex and it was good dont know why
this happened to us. Just sharing my experience with fedex dont think I will ever used their services
again even though they will be giving my husband his money plus they offered to send it for free there and
back when he is ready to send it again.
