Mrs. D. - even thought the letter was dated July 22nd, what might matter more is if the envelope has a postmarked date on it. If the postmark on the letter from the High Commission was delayed you can prove that you were not given the proper amount of time. Does the post office have any other ways of logging receipt of mail that they could also find additional evidence? I'm sure your husband checked his mail many times before Friday........why was the letter so late getting to the post office?

I agree with the advice of the other members to get your MP and the minister's office on this, but see if you can find out about the postmarks as well. Saying prayers for you, do not lose hope. Blessings.

Are you anywhere near Kitchener/waterloo area in Ontario? There is an immigratiton specialist that worked previous for immigration so has great links and is a great help- I can get you that number. Try calling immigration lawyers, specialists anywhere that will give you some insight over phone to save more $$ spent upfront, you can go where you feel your money will be of best use. I googled all these for us. There is also one in Toronto that also has an office in Jamaica~ maybe that is a better option? There are a few I found in google. Let me know if I can help in some way

I'm so sorry she wasn't any help. I guess it always comes down to the money.

Why don't you go into your MP office and speak to the assistant that deals with the immigration issues. They won't ignore you if you are in front of them.

So they requested a new PC and meds on July 22nd however they didn't mail the letter until August 5th.....I would say that this is would be in your favor

Hubby told me that it was a lady that called him and she was really nice. Asked him to send his passeport as soon as possible, like he would take his sweet time after all that waiting . Wonder if the same day is fast enough lol!

Mrs. Davis this noh right at all... just catching up on whats going on with u... girly i am praying for u. Hopefully ur MP will get in contact with Kingston today.
As others have said the date on the envelop seem to be in ur favour. Make sure hubby does not throw the envelop out. Get him to do PC and medicals as soon as possible and send it in before October 5th if possible since that would be ur 2 months if we are following the envelop stamp.

Girly as I said before i am praying and I am sure others are too. I cannot imagine how stress you feel right now but just now ur jamfam is here. Plz keep us updated.
