Anxiously - Praise the Lord. I'm glad to hear he got through. As for mine, not yet. We're still waiting for the call, but I'm assuming that they have the Embassy closed for now, same as the US. with only "essential" workers coming in to the office.

I've been concerned too. Hubby always says "Why worry when you can pray?" However, it doesn't stop me from asking "How is so and so, and this person and that person. Have you heard from so and so?" :D

I'm currently sponsoring my husband in Trinidad (port of spain)
HighlyFavoured I saw that you said they requested "original documents" what docs were those? so far my timeline is as follows:

March 5, 2010 - Application recv'd by CPC-M
March 25, 2010 - Approved as a sponsor
April 7, 2010 - Application Recv'd by Port of Spain
May 3, 2010 - Ecas status changed to In Process (for PR)
May 7, 2010 - Sent out AOR Letter (stating application has been received and in process)

morning ladies and gents.... hope everyone is well this morning

just wanted to share this one with you...

The Start Of My Happily Ever After

I can't quite explain how I feel
Somebody pinch...is this really real
My chest is pounding, I can hear my heart
Now it is time for our life to start
My eyes fill with tears, full of happiness and delight
Our worlds finally aligned, soon everything will be right
My mind is racing, my hands, they're shaking
This brand new life is ours for the taking
I can't stop smiling, this ear to ear grin
The butterflies in my stomach, I can no longer keep them in
We have waited so long, and our love put up the fight
Waiting for the moment when you and I reunite
I have tried to imagine the feeling a million times before
But nothing can compare to hearing, you're mine forever more
Our life's chapter one is finally coming to a close
And what chapter two holds for us, no one really knows
But I can't wait to get started, and see what the future has planned
Because I can make it through anything if you just hold my hand
You are my lover and my partner, you are my best friend
I hope that our fairy tale together never comes to an end
So here's to our future, with our hearts full of love, and mouths full of laughter
As today finally marks the beginning of our happily ever after

someone plz answer im very much in need of info AND would really appreciate the help

Hi Nelly,
I think you need to go to the CIC website and print the forms from there along with the guide. You will have to do a medical, everyone does. I would wait as long as possible to do the medical as it is only valid for one year and if the process takes longer than that, it will expire and you'll have to do it again. So if you are sure you'll have all your documentation (according to their checklist in application) to submit in a specific month, do your medical as close to that date as possible.

As for how long the process will take. Check out this link here and depending on where you're applying from it will tell you the average timeframe.
