Oh Yay Nev. Thanks for all the info. This could be extremely helpful for any of our hubbies to know. Im so glad he didn't give up and that they took his passport and didn't need the DHL. YAY YAY YAY! One step closer... and the last step of picking up the passport better be soon!! YAY YAY YAY!!

I am trying to give the play by play of the end of our journey in the hopes that it may help someone when their turn comes.

I believe the only reason 'the nice white lady with short hair' agreed to hubby picking up the passport is because he has less than a month to land because his medical extension is expiring the first week of January (they left it wayyyyyyy too long). Plus Mr. Nev is a sweetie!

We contemplated having Mr. Nev arrive at the High Commission around 1:30pm but decided against it because drop offs are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Since this was a unique situation we didn't think it mattered what time he arrived and if it wasn't for the 'new guard' I think he may have been able to get in earlier.

Are we really surprised how disorganized this is and that clear concise instructions aren't given to the Applicant?

A little update, I got PPR nov 21 got my pp back and I landed.

I thank God for all his blessings, I still can't believe. I keep repeating God is so good

Kingston is very disorganized a good example Mr and Mrs O&O case.

Lady on the phone hubby described as a Jamaican woman to drop off his police clearance, passport and DHL envelope on Tuesday or Thursday at 9am but it was infact 130pm.

Hubby gets to the embassy "a white older lady" officer greets him and tells him because one officer signed off the wrong form not requiring an interview when there should of been an interview. She went ahead and said he will be granted a conditional PR. That office needs some organizational skills. It's not our fault they messed up. Our journey with immigration won't be up until I know my husband is a Canadian citizen. I know they will be knocking on my door or calling.

Getting prepared for immigration journey number 2. Hopefully he finds a job soon after he lands so we can move out of the in laws and on our own.

I dropped off at DHL on the 22nd of november, they didn't drop off until Monday evening though. My Ecas switched to decision made the following weekend. They sent off the passport Wednesday morning December 4th and I picked up at DHL Thursday morning.

You should be getting it this week most likely wed or thurs

When did your ecas change to decision made? This is good news!

KG would not send a passport/visa back through regular mail. Which courier service did you use? Do you have a tracking number?

The Ecas status changed not this past weekend but the one before. We used Tara not dhl

They didn't give him a tracking number. They told him they would call him when they would receive it. I told my husband to go and check anyways.
