Thank you Nevaeha!! I am so worried still though. Is there a chance it could still be denied even though he didnt have an interview?

I have NEVER heard of that happening to anyone applying through the KG office. Anyone that has been denied has had an interview first.

In with the good air, out with the bad -- this process makes all of us second guess everything.

In my opinion, the chances of that happening is possible but highly unlikely.

Hang in there and think happy thoughts! Hubby is coming home! :D

Unfortunately the only thing KG has been this past year is inconsistent...hopefully they will send your hubby his passport back this week! Do you have a DHL tracking #? I'd start tracking it on Monday!!! :D

GOOD NEWS! I emailed them about my application as well.. and didn't get a response! Did you email them first? If so what email address did you use ;D
This actually makes me sooooooooo happy because i thought they wouldn't even acknowledge 2013 apps until sometime next year!

Hello alyssaanthony~

To answer your question, this is the email that I used:

Case specific: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=kingston

I think that they look at files based on completion and complexity versus timeline. If you file is fairly straight forward, your time will be as well. Just my personal opinion.

Unfortunately some straight forward, fully complete applications can take a long time...speaking from experience here...there really is no method to the madness...KG claims to process in order of receipt (their words) but we know that's not true and that's why we see people getting through anywhere from four to twenty-four months. I think CIC should be able to process family cases within 6 to 8 months regardless of the complexity -- families should be together...

alyssaanthony -- you can email either address; KG checks both on a regular basis.

I know I'm not the first to say this but this process takes WAYY too long.. there's no reason spouses should be apart for up to two years!! A lot can happen in two years.. and it's difficult to make decisions because once they commit to something over there they never know when they'll be pulled away from it.. So basically my hubby is just hanging around with his life in the hands of some slow immigration office. I'm FRUSTRATED !! >:(

It actually pains me to look at the spreadsheet and see how long some of you amazing people have been waiting! I hope and pray some good news will come verrry soon :)

Its either that.. or they're just overwhelmed which means they need to have more people available for processing.. But that's just Jamaica in general though.. slow moving and no sense of urgency LOL
