Carm;

Hope hubby feels better but just wanted to tell you that when he comes to Canada; encourage him to do further tests. Sometimes it maybe migraines or due to food allergies.
However other times it may go beyond this; don't want to scare you but just concerned based on personal experience.
THank you. Yes that is the plan because the pain he is feeling should not go on this long. Poor guy cant eveng get excited about all the good news. I just keep telling him to rest as much as he can.

I never thought of food allergies but he was saying something about milk products the other day. Hmmm ???

Yup food allergies or food intolerances is a big one that causes constant headaches and other ailments. Many persons react differently and yes milk products is a major contributor of food intolerances.

Hello everyone I am new to the forum and wondering if anyone can give me some advice. My husband and my step son did their medical at the office in montego bay July 9. On August 12 a lady from kingston call my husband and told him that they received the medical results for his son however his medical file is blank. (They receive his file but when they open it its empty and the results aren't displayed).

She was gonna email the medical office and get back to him. So its been over a month and still no word on it. ( I found out medicals are sent fron the doctors to Ottawa and then from there to visa offices. I asume that's where things got messed up because the doctor say they send everything to ottawa.)
Has anyone here ever experience this or know anyonr who has. How long does it usualy take to sort out such a mess.. thanks

We had similar problem-- my husband did his medical in February in Kingston. Then they found a lesion on his rib (often can be TB) so Immigration Doctor, sent all the medical to immigration. We followed up with a Cario Thoriac specialist and husband was operated on in March in UWI Hospital in Kingston. They removed the rib and the tumor on the rib (it wasa not TB, but was a TUMOR instead) Then Immigration sent him a letter end of April that he needed to go back to immigration dr. He went back to Dr, who wrote a letter that it was not TB and that my husband (the patient ) had followed up with surgery and specialist. In May, the ECAS changed showing MEdical Recieved, but there has been nothing since then.

In the meantime, he needs more medical woprk done, and it is too expensive in Jamaica. Surgery and medicine cost nearly 3000.00 Canadian. Hopeing he gets here soon, because he has been referred to have an MRi and that is 850.00 Canadian. Pray for him to soon come!

Thanks

Joanne

What I wrote to the Kingston Office Today. Does anyone think I will ever get a response!!!??

Hello,

My name is Joanne xxxxxx (xxxxxx) and I am currently in the process of sponsoring my husband Glen xxxxx, date of birth March xx, 19xx to Canada. I was approved as a suitable sponsor February 25, 2013. File # xxxxxxxx

I have written to your office on the following dates,
May 14, 2013
July 26, 2013
August 16, 2013

On May 14, 2013 I received the following email:
Thank you for your e-mail. It has been received by the Visa Section at the
High Commission of Canada in Kingston. Your e-mail will be answered as
soon as possible.

My questions have still not been answered and it is Four (4) months later. Can you please tell me
approximately how long the sponsorship will be? I am being scheduled for surgery at
the Toronto Western Hospital ( I have my consultation on October xx, xxxx) and I would prefer
that my husband will be here to help care for me as I will be off work for 6 weeks.

We applied for Visitors Visa in October 2012, but we were denied, because the host's
(which was myself) income could not be confirmed, even although I provided my Notice of Assessment
from the Canadian Revenue Agency indicating I am a Toronto Transit Employee, earning in excess of 80.000.00 Canadian Dollars per year.

Is there any likelihood that my husband would be able to get a Visitors Visa, while waiting for Sponsorship
Approval to care for me while I recuperate form Gastro-Intestinal Surgery, or will it be denied?

I would appreciate if your office would return this email, as I am writing on a Monthly basis without
any response. In addition, I have traveled to Jamaica to attend the embassy on 3 occasions in the last year,
but have not been able to speak with an Officer. I will be back in Jamaica in November, and would be grateful for the
opportunity to speak with someone in your office.

I can be reached at anytime at 647 xxxxxxx or 905 xxxxxxxxx or via email

I look forward to a response.

Sincerely,

Joanne O'Brien

Josephine, I am so sorry to read that a tumor was found on your husband's rib but I am thankful he had his medical and it was found before it got any worse.

It's so hard to predict whether or not Kingston will respond to your email.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

You and your hubby have been added to my prayers.

I truly hope you receive a response soon.

PS - the current processing timeline for Stage 2 is 20 months; however, it can be longer or shorter.

Thanks for your prayers and your support. Is that 20 months from filing the original application, or is that 20 months from when it shows on ECAS that medicals were received? :-X

I often wonder what they are doing down there.

Thanks for the welcome Neveaha
and praying for you and your husband josephine196901. Hope he gets here soon so that his health will be properly sorted out.

It's just so frustrating dealing with immigration. I can't understand how they could have lost the medical results for him and yet they have his son's.

Praying for every one here

Different people will give you different answers; however, my understanding is the 20 months begins the date you receive Sponsorship approval.

Hopefully your application will be processed quickly and you won't need to worry about how/when the processing timelines are calculated.

There seems to be some action happening lately so hopefully you will hear from KG soon.

As with most government offices things slow down in the summer and this appears to be true with KG too. I believe they are hard at work and I can only imagine the amount of applications they are surrounded by with a small amount of staff. We need to pray for them as much as we pray for ourselves and each other.
