I email Kingston last week inquiring about my application status and I also attached about 50+ pictures to prove on going relationship.

this is their reply:

App: **********

Client I.D: ********

Dear C.O.D,

The processing officer is requesting that you cease sending multiple large attachments via email immediately. Please understand that these multple large emails are creating problems in receiving other emails in the Immigration Program Client Service Inbox, thus affecting service to other clients. Attached pictures have been placed on your application.

As indicated to you previously, our office cannot provide you with updates by email on a regular basis, but rest assured that we will contact you if any action is required on your part. Your application is among many that require the same service due to the same nature of the family class application to which you have expressed.

The status of your application has not changed since our last reply to you and will be reviewed in accordance with its place in the queue for applicants in this category, based on the application received date. Following the initial review, you will be advised directly of the decision or any next steps. We continue to work hard to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible, while at the same time bearing in mind the capacity of our settlement community to support and assist newcomers with their transition toward making Canada their home.

In order to serve all clients better, we will be unable to answer further correspondence at this time.

Regards,

The letter is telling you:

1) Stop sending them emails, especially ones with large attachments because they cannot give you regular updates
2) They have already told you they cannot give you regular updates and that they will contact you if/when they need anything
3) Your application and everyone else's in the family class application require the same service
4) Your status has not changed since the last time you asked; it is in line for initial review and will be looked at in order it was received.
5) They are working hard on all Family Class applications
6) They will not respond to you if you send them more emails at this time

And if I had to guess, 'initial review', means that it hasn't been looked at but I don't understand what that means since you applied in March 2012.

The reason I put the :o and >:( is because I find it hard to believe that they process the applications in order of receipt and that your application is waiting for an initial review. How can that be when several people that applied after you have already landed?

Unfortunately I'm not Kingston so I don't have all the answers....and their emails are very vague.

Try not to over think it, I know that's easier said than done. You sent the pictures and they have added them to your application. They will let you know when they require anything further from you.

Hang tight and hopefully you will hear from KG in the near future.

tyldim, cee!!!! So nice of you to stop by...thanks for thinking of us! :-*

Good old Kingston and the immigration process...*sigh*

Thanks for your guidance Kadi... just last night I sent my first email asking if the application actually made it to Kingston. Now I wait with my new friends since no one else understands this process but you people lol. I'm still trying to wrap my head around those 2012's still waiting

I did get a good laugh imagining Child of God sending 50+ pictures.. would love to see the expression on the other end receiving them.
But March of 12?? really ahhhh

Just popping in to say hello to all come on kingston don't give up on us

Good evening, O&O. :-*

You're one day closer to coming home...

Maddants, where are you? :o

Good night all,

First I want to congratulate you again Chickie for the ARC letter, hoping that it's now a matter of days until you can welcome your hubby into is new home. A bit more waiting, then the sweetest thing in the world, your beloved husband with you 24/7!!!!!!

Also wanted to give a warm welcome to Mrs Davis, glad to count a next impatient, control freak stalker on this tread, makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one ;)

I also come to share some news; Kingston responded to my email after a month to let me know that they received our application on Apr 19th, 2013 (Chickie or Kadi feel free to add the info on spreadsheet) and that I may send them the Quebec sponsor approval as well as my husband's Quebec selection certificate to be added to the supporting documents for his application. They're also saying the general stuff, that the application is currently in the queue for initial review, bla, bla, bla... but at least I know that it's sitting on someone's desk for almost 5 months now and it's not lost God knows were :D

Do you know anyone that sponsored his spouse from Quebec? Since we have two immigration applications to submit, I am curious to know about other people experience...

Thanks and bless you all and waiting to hear many more great news.

Take heart. God is going to show you joy like you've never seen. The spirit of depression and discouragement is being broken. God is going to release a new happiness and passion that you've never experienced before.
