Good day all.......Kingston doesn't seem to be answering emails anymore....,i think they are ticked at everyone for emailing all the time and for going over their heads, emailing the "big boss". I decided long ago, i was going to leave Kingston alone and let them do their thing, truly i do believe it puts them behind and puts them in foul moods when everyone is emailing all the time. This is just my opinion ( i am entitled to it!) i don't want them vexed with me, i just want my hubby and kids home! School starts back up in September and I really hope I can get them in time for the new school year. This is my theory......they are going to do their thing, in their own time and no amount of you emailing, calling etc...is going to make it go any faster and you only stress yourself out even more.....I understand that it is hard because they don't give us updates but there is absolutely nothing that is going to change how they do things. Sit back, persevere thru the flight....it is a long one but it will eventually land!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all doing well and had a lovely weekend!
My husband and I looking for a Villa in Negril for 1 week in early June. We would like it to have a pool and either be on 7 mile beach or within walking distance.
If anyone has any contacts or recommendations on Villa's , please let me know!
Thanks!!

not sure if this is close to where you are talking about but their rates were pretty good

Chickie I agree with you on this. With everyone emailing all the time it could slow the process down for everyone. Not saying don't email them but give them some time - this is my opinion as well. I've been on here for over a year now and its the time of year where things slow down from Kingston. It really sucks for everyone waiting to hear anything. Myself included.

I'm just going to sit back and let them do their thing once my papers are down there

Maddants - being married before has nothing to do with interview. There are many people on here who have applied that were married before and got through with no interview. Some of them married for the third time. The only time an interview is called is when the VO has questions about if your relationship is real or not. I'm sorry for saying that but its the truth. It sucks that even though u know its real someone behind a desk has questions about it. I know you'll pass your interview no problems at all and you'll be walking away with that visa in your passport and on your way here to Canada!!! :)

Thegentleman - My hubby and I have been together since Oct 11 , married Nov 12 and app filed Apr 23 13

I remember last year also and not much went on at all last year at this time either. It sucks but we can't change it just gotta go with the flow!

There is a Timeframe?

And yeah, I don't know what it is, I was just speculating that most of us left from last year married just before we put in our app. including myself, but who knows what the hold up is.

Now, I'm just interested in this Timeframe business... tell me more ;D.

Just dont understand why some are processed so quickly ( I know quite a few spouses who got here in 6-9 months) and some seem to take forever. I am a lawyer myself and my husbands's personal representative. He has no children. Dont know if any of these things will speed us up. Wondering if anyone has approached their MP to inquire on their behalf?

Agreed and there are a lot here on the forums who have to gone through the Mexico and China VO's and have gotten through in months and we all know those VO's process millions more applications than the Kingston VO.

It can all become depressing but like I told my wife a few days ago, everything in God's timing.

There's always a reason for everything that we do not know beyond just the reason behind the circumstance... it's God's reasons.

And yea, I told my wife to email them about the re-doing of the medical because mine is soon to reach one year but after that, we're not emailing them anymore... we will let go and let God 8).

The timeframe as posted on the CIC website is 18 months for Kingston. So what they are saying is that applications filed should be completed by that time. However sometimes files are completed faster than others. Its not a first come first serve basis. From being on here for over a year I've seen people get through in 5 months to 17 months. Its all over the place. Like everyone says. It all depends on how fast your VO works on your file. Also remember there isn't many VO's in Kingston.

Please everyone people who have applied got their visa and people who are still in the process and people who are going to apply soon.

Oh, I thought you were referring to Kingston VO's yearly timeframe when they cut off for one year and start another... I don't know the specifics but I think that's how it works.

All that other stuff I know.
