Cee congrats, im so caught up in my frustration, im forgetting to congratulate those of you that are getting good news

Hello and Happy Saturday everyone,

Congrats to all those who have gotten good news this week. As we look forward to being with our loved ones i wish to leave a word of wisdom to consider, which i have to remember myself:

"When you like someone, you like them in spite of their faults. When you love someone, you love them with their faults." —Elizabeth Cameron

"The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment." :-X

Hi Ladies, ive been laying low for the past few days. So my husband still hasnt received his passport back. Im now starting to think this is due to his medical. His medical expired in Oct 2012 so we are well over the 15 month mark. After reading other peoples horror medical extension stories, im thinking this is what the hold up is. I saw people waiting up to 3 months for an extension. This whole immigration process is so backward. I regret not telling my husband to redo it back in october. Has anyone had a medical extension request?

We weren't even given the option both medicals and police clearances had to be redone.

They're dragging their feet on returning my husbands police clearance, he paid for 7 day service, sent it through last Wednesday it hasn't come back yet.

Did he do it in Mobay?? That's what my hubby did last time and it took a whooping 21 days. So he went to Kingston and got it back in 5 days.

He did it in St Mary, same place he went to when we were gathering the information to submit the application and they were really fast last time, but this time I have no idea...I am claiming success this week in Jesus name, enough messing with us now >:(

Hey Nev! It's not as frightening as you think..

One of our members found out Kingston sent for an extension last week of November and got passport request a month later so no worries...this month is ur month!

Small update: hubbys home address changed this morning to his Canadian address

Hubby's coming home honey...so very very happy for you that your file continues to show progress...can't wait to see landing story.

Hey forum!

Happy Sunday!

I am hearing that Kingston has been slow lately. Hold the faith, your time is coming!! Welcome to the newbies! Do Stick and stay! Lots of info here and experience. Ask away! Although we will never fully understand Kingston, we try our best. As soon as we think we know them, they change it up lol. One thing to remember, whether your timeline is 6 months or 20 months, the approval rate is HIGH! I have yet to meet someone who has been denied through Kingston. It is definitely a long process, a test of your marriage, and a test of your character, but the reward is so great!! Good luck to all of you!!

Well hubby has been here exactly a month. He is settled in, got all his IDs, health care, SIN#, insurance, etc. He is driving on his JA license like a pro lol. Soon he will write his exams for his provincial license. Job hunt starts next. We have been moving into a house, we needed an extra bedroom ;)

Take care peeps :D :D :D

KINGSTON, NEXXXXTTTTTT!!!!

Hey Jamgirl! Thanks for the update - it seems as though your hubby is fitting right in. I can't believe he's already been in Canada for one month!!!! Time flies when you're having fun...

This is going to be a GREAT week! Come on Kingston!!!!!

Good evening Forum,

@ Jamgirl...glad the transition was a smooth one. Does the extra room mean what I think it does ;)

Let's hope that Kingston had a well rested weekend and is ready to hit the pavement running.

@ Jamgirl...funny you mention that some processes can actually take up to 20 months. I read minutes from a meeting that some CIC officials had and it stated... FC (Family Class) Targets 6-12 months for 80% of cases and that 21-28 months is not unusal.

Last night I almost fell over. My husband told me stop googling. My point is we all have to stay strong and our time will come.

DG, there was another meeting held in December of 2012 between CIC and the MP's. Not sure if you can find any minutes on this as it may not be posted publicly but if you can, that may give you more info on the new expectations that are being brought down on the VO's....

and, yes, hubby has been busy lol ;)
