only two immigration officers! God help us. I consider my case very low risk/not complex too so I hope to get through very quickly unless there's a long queue but not really worried. I figure your hubby did not have to do interview?

Good night everyone!!

I was just speaking with a friend of mine who applied for her husband inland. Her file was sent to
Vancouver and she was told that the reason it was sent there was because they believed her marriage is not real. She called CIC and they told her that it was sent there for "further processing".

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? She is worried because she is being told that Vancouver has a 3 year backlog???? It has been one year now and she didn't even get through with sponsorhip approval

The current posted time for inland sponsorship approval shows 6 months and they are working on applications from August 7, 2012. Second stage PR applications indicate 8 months (consecutive to first stage) based on a perfect application however the time frame would vary depending on the extent of back ground checks required for individual cases. As for it being sent to Vancouver that may be a possibility as there have been quite a few changes due to the restructuring of CIC.

Hey hun! My day actually went better than I anticipated....hubby and I spent all day talking to each other abt our future together, goals we both want to accomplish and so much good stuff, hes been keeping that smile on my face, so greatful for him! Today I spent alot of time reminiscing on the good times we have and feeling so thankful to God for bleasing me with such a wonderful companion.

Next year we're really doing it up for our anniversary as hubby will definitely b home with me.

How are things with u hun??? And trust me Anada got thru in 6 months total, and so can you, so u justmmight never know, u can have hubby home with you by ending of this month.

I am so happy to hear that you and hubby made the best of the day. Distance cannot stop LOVE!!
You will have next year and the rest of your life to do it up and hubby will be here before you know it. It seems like Kingston is working overtime and am loving it... ;D ;D

Am doing well, just here taking everything is stride. I am very confident that God has a miracle in store for all of us. Our time is coming chica!!

I told her the reason for the need for "further processing" as she was told by CIC could be because he overstayed. I advised her to stay on top of them because no one can give her a straight answer as what is really happening to her application. She now has a lawyer looking into it.

you should be calling cic office and find out about his application, you said he overstayedu so was he deported or remvoed, what is his current status and if he was removed then that meanss he have to the application over and do it outland.

As far as I know he wasn't deported or ordered removed. After they got married the application was submitted, but they haven't heard anything since it was submitted a year ago. They called CIC and was only told the file wa sent to Vancouver for further processing.

well what am concerned about here is the fact that he overstayed, so for his application to be processes any further he have to face immigration either turn himself in or something, because they will not process someone who is out of status and is illigal in the country. am trying to figure out how did he fill out a sponsorship application, they would ask you for those details, were you staying, are you authorised to stay there copies of your passport etc etc.

my advice is lawyers are expensive get yourself a good councellor its cheaper, you only need a lawyer if things are very seriouse like a refugee.

Aw thank you. The whole family has great genes. His parents are not young by any means but not senior citizens either!!
