Let me stir the pot with u ready..contacted my MP last week and she put an inquiry in for me the same day and got back to me in two days stating my file is in process and in queue to b reviewed

yup sound like these mp's are serving yall a pot of "i'm a lazy shit who dont want to do my fing job"

Yes she told me she can't do anything until after the 17 months actually and the 17 months starts from the time my application reaches Kingston not CIC Mississauga.....i think she was just loading me a crock of *siht*

Here is a hint to what I did with my MP to "help her understand" and agree to harass KG....

I will admit, I completely manipulated in this case....

Right before Christmas I called my MP. On that day I had just reached the 14 month mark. My MP isn't 100% up to date on Kingston's processing times so that worked in my favor. First of all, she does not know that it has now changed to 17 months. So I used the 16 month timeframe that she is familiar with. 2nd of all, when I log onto eCAS, it shows on the applicant side that they received my application on October 19, 2011. Even though this is the date I know Mississauga received my file, I told my MP that Kingston also shows that same date so if I am to go by another date to measure my "16 months", then maybe they should update my file to reflect that date and until then I am using that date as date received in KG. My MP accepted that explanation. Next, I informed my MP that the "16 month" timeframe reflects a complete process INCLUDING landing, as he could still be denied entry at POE. I coupled that with the fact that it takes KG on average 2-4 weeks from the time they request passport to the time of landing so therefore they should be contacting us in our 15th month in order to be complete within 16 months. I then informed her since Dec 19 was the completion of my 14 months, I am now in my 15th month so they need to be contacting me.... it was alot of talk, but it worked and my MP sent out a direct inquiry to KGN same day. I am now waiting on my MP to return from a 6 week vacation. So we will see how effective my smooth talking was lol

OK so either my mp is behind times or yalls mps are full of *censored word*
i called him this morning out of curiosity>>>> i told him that i am applying for my husband from Jamaica that i was approved in Mississauga and my file was transferred to Jamaica in September.... how long do i have to wait to get and inquire done ....... he said to forward my information to him and he will do an inquiry and get back to me in 3 business days

Well it is not new to have varying "rules" from different MPs.

My MP once told me she would only do an inquiry once every 6 months until I was past the posted timelines...

Lostwithoutu's MP would not do an inquiry for her none at all until he was past posted timelines and when she did go past they were still reluctant to help her.

Yet, others on this forum in the past have gotten an abundance of support and help from their MP.

I hate that the reality may be we have to accept that they are as inconsistent between one another as Kingston is. I encourage you to keep trying and to carefully choose your wording using facts and information. The more knowledged you are the better. And be FIRM! Good luck ladies and gents.

why whats wrong with being a new year baby ........ ;D ;D ;D ;D
lol i have a friend who's born on thanks giving for her 30th birthday she got a tattoo of a turkey on her a$$ dressed as baby new year in the diaper with a balloon that say 30 on it ......lol the funny thing though the tattoo artist hand slipped when he was doing the tattoo and the 30 looks like an 80 so we laugh at her all the time telling her she is 30 with an 80 year old a$$
lol she was not too happy when i told her not to worry because by the time she turns 80 she wont have any regrets about having the tattoo because it will on her ankle by then ;D ;D ;D ;D

I called my MP's office last Friday and talked to the woman who deals with the immigration stuff and she was very friedly. I said I had not recieved AOR from Kingston and I should have heard from them after 7 weeks, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't lost. She had me sign something saying she could get that information from Kingston and that she would get back to me as soon as she found out anything. Now, I know there is no rule book to follow on how long it should take her to get back to me.. and each one is defferent and so on, but my question is, how long do I wait without hearing from her, before I email and ask? I don't want to be a bother, but I also don't want to wait for weeks and weeks. Just asking what others would do.... especially since some get back to you within 3 days, what would be appropriate!?
