LOL I 3rd that sentement! Now all I want is to be at a point where immigration is a distant memory that hubby and I reminise about every now and then a laugh at how crazy it made us. That time soon come for us all!

Well after much calling to CIC and emailing the Webmaster, I have figured out why my ECAS won't open on my side........hmmm my application puts my birth date as 1972 (yes i am 40 lol) and someone put it in as 1971 so hence why I couldn't open my side but could open hubbies side because the date was wrong. So update mine says decision made for applicant approval and application received for permanent residence.... I would think that Kingston has it by now since I got my approval 12 days ago.....but truly I knew something was wrong with my ECAS, like why would I be able to see hubbies side and not mine, but no amount of me telling them that when I called into CIC would they understand that, they kept saying it was because I hadnt gotten my approval yet. Grrrrrrr some peoples kids! LOL

OHHH NOOOOO I put cpc mississauga ontario and my hubby signed and sent it to me already...Can I change it? I cant cross it off right because its the application that you have to validate it? can anyone give me any suggestions what I can do?

So I've sent my application off. And I check the website all the time to see if they have started to process me as a sponsor yet. But nothing. I've been putting my receipt number in along with his bday and country. Wondering if its MY info that needs to go in. And how will I know when they have started processing my application?? Here is how it worked for me:

After I received the sponsorship approval email from CIC, I was able to view the Client Application Status on the website. CIC provided me (the sponsor) with a UCI (Unique Client Identifier) and an Application Number (for the Applicant). If you indicated on your application that you wanted to be notified of your sponsorship approval by email and provided them with an email address you will receive your approval via email. If not, they will send you a letter in the mail with your UCI and Application Number when you are approved. You will then be able to access your information online. If you want to view the sponsor information, you have to enter the UCI and your personal information. If you want to view the Applicant's information, you have to enter the Application Number and your husband's personal information.

When I sent our application to Mississagua I paid extra for overnight delivery and a signature when it was received. Then I checked the CIC website every week to see how many days it was taking to process the sponsorship approval. I submitted my application on March 12, 2012 and received the sponsorship approval email from CIC on June 6, 2012.

I'm sure others will let you know if their experience was different.

Keep checking your email and spam folder for an email from CIC (or the mailbox) for your sponsorship approval; it's such a great feeling when you receive it!
