Charlie, am I correct in thinking, that if and when e-cas updates with "meds rec'd" that is also a sign that KGN has opened ur file as that notification would come from them and not Mississauga?

I do believe my file is being worked on, just wish I knew if and what they may be questioning so that my file can soon be approved. I keep thinking in my head that I will see something in the notes that they are questioning and I can send more proofs to aid them in their search lol. Of course, I do not know if that is how it all will work, but a girl can hope lol. My expectation of the notes, in a nutshell, is that they are computerized margin notes of any officer accessing my file. I hope I am correct on that ???

I will be disappointed (but not discouraged :) ) if they don't give me insigt to the long wait.

I am now preparing for my next trip to see hubby. It won't be for a little while yet, but hubs and I have started our routine countdown and reservations are being made lol. I think I am gonna go for 10 days, or more lol. I last saw him on Feb 2, so we are really in need of family time. And in the back of my head, I know there is still the sweet possibility that he could come home with me that trip! If so, then all this waiting would have turned out for the good as I really want to be able to go and bring him back with me but cannot justify doing that if I have already just visited recently.

wow, now I am writing a book lol. It feels good to converse on here today. I haven't felt free to do that in awhile and is very nice, thank you. It helps that there aren't many patients here today :)

She laughs, you never know, it may definitely be a best seller.
He just has application received march 26th, 2012 and his information was there from the first time I logged in.

Jamgirl I'm feelin everything your saying here. I'm planning to go down to see my hubby in October for our anniversary all the while praying daily that just maybe we'll here something from KG before so it won't be necessariy. I can't wait to see him but I'm dreading having to leave him there once again...I know...thinking way to far into it. It's hard sometimes.

Jamgirl, at one time "medicals received" was one of the last updates that could be expected before a PPR. However, it has now become more common to see medicals received at or around the same time as the sponsor is approved at CPC-M. It appears there was a switch, but I can't say for sure. Additionally, I never saw medicals received as an update at any time on my eCAS although it was noted in my GCMS notes, which still puzzles me today, even though they obviously did receive them twice!

Ha! I no longer rely on the ecas for updates to our file. It seems to me that some of the staff are more diligent than others. After noting that KG confirmed that my hubby's application was in process yet his status on ecas still says "app received" I emailed them about the descrepancy and asked if this should be a concern. They told me "No" and again that his app. is in process. To this day they made no movement to update the status. LOL. Maybe it's a good thing for me too....because I was on that ecas 2 - 4 times a day like a junkie!! LOL...now I don't even bother looking.

Yup, eCAS as currently used is a horrible joke. It purports to give you the "status" of your application, but the truth is you'd be better off with nothing because what they do put on there is useless information, when they do put anything on there at all! A few months ago CIC put out a survey on eCAS and I wrote a book giving them a tongue-lashing about it. LOL. I pointed out that they:

1. Put "in process" when they were done processing and ready to finalize applications.
2. Had no standards of consistency for use across the various visa offices or within them.
3. Gave clients ZERO information about actual progress on the applications.

I pointed out that in this day and age, I can order something online, get updates about when my order has been received, when it has been picked and packed for shipping, when it has been sent to the shippers, where it is once the shipper receives it, and steps along the way such as clearing Customs when it is coming to me, and a lot of times the information is received in real time or with only a few hours lag. I said if eCAS is to be relevant and useful and prevent people contacting them to ask questions about the processing of their applications, it needs to offer actual information that is progressive in nature and clearly detailed.

OK, I get off my soapbox!

WHAT SHE SAID!!! ;D

sorry guys, got hella busy for a minute there!

Hey Ladies so when the PR applicant's (hubby in my case) info is updated on eCas, which office is the one entering that info? Would it be CIC-M or KG?

Really? That means my file was transferred to their office and updated really quickly. It was updated 5 days after I received sponsor approval.
