Hi Ladies, so nice to see the progress of everyone on the board. Kingston is really doing a good job.

Now if only the RCMP in Ottawa could send my husbands fingerprints back to Kingston quickly, I would be so happy. Im jus waiting. It hasnt been a month since he dropped off his fingerprints and I already feel like its forever.

Happy May 24 weekend!! Good morning, and I hope everyone is making the most of the long weekend with their families, I know for sure a few folks are!

Dahlia, a 5 months timeline is a real blessing, so count them up and just keep looking forward to when this is all over.

Tintin79, hoping things go quickly from here. KG is working hard on reuniting families this year, I am hoping to see this trend continue for those of you still waiting.

Well, off to finish this house work. I am through working off my notice now, so I am in the process of packing up to move, which is something I actually am very good at, having done it so much. Now, if only the unpacking at the other end didn't pose such a challenge. :

Hello Family.
Here is my landing story...
I got ready and went to the airport. The fight arrived at 711pm. I waited outside anxiously for hubby to come out. I was so nervous I had butterflies in my tummy. Each time the doors open and closed my heart would skip a beat in anticipation to see him. Finally he came out through the sliding doors. I started waving my hands for him to see me. I quickly ran over and hugged him and kissed him. I was alone because the family was home preparing for him to come and I also had other guests for the weekend.

We drove on the highway home and he was impressed by the amount of lanes we have here compared to Jamaica. While in the car he told me about his flight. He was nervous when the plane was taking off but got very comfortable after that. He watched movies and listen to music the entire flight. Way too anxious too sleep. He said they did not give him a hard time in immigration at all. They did all his paper work and told him he should get his PR card in a few weeks in the mail. They did not even search his suit case.

Our first stop was at the convenience store to buy a phone to let his family back home know he is safe and sound. My family was so happy to see him. The first thing we did was give God all the Glory and honor to bring us back together so quickly. We had dinner and curled up in the coach and watched a Jamaican play that he brought with him.
My baby shower was Amazing. I could not ask for anything more. All my close friends and family got to meet him and everyone kept telling me how happy I looked. We are a family. This is only day 1 of the rest of our lives...

Yes Basha!!!! Great landing story!!! Congrats again and again. Every Sunday me n hubby go supermarket and today we were laughing down the aisles and yesterday we just did nothing but kick back on the lawn enjoy the warm weather...right now these small things seem so precious to me. Life is goooooood!!

I cant wait for everyone to enjoy the little things in life! Have a great long weekend for all! Also everyone in Jamaica short week Labour day this week..yesss

Hi Everyone....it's been awhile since I've been on here. Busy busy busy at work and trying to plan the wedding down there from up here.

I just have a couple questions as I am finding different answers all over the place.

For the Marriage Licence - I plan on getting it on Monday 23rd of July. Can I still get married on the 28th of July. The minister is saying I need to be on the island for 9 days prior but everywhere I look it doesn't say that

Also

Do I need to have my Birth Certificate or is my passport ok to bring to go and get it?

Hey Sammy! Nice to see you! Totally understandable, it can be quite a challenge to plan a destination wedding!

You are required to be on the island for 48 hours prior to your wedding date, after that you may get married whenever you want to. I don't know where your minister/marriage officer got his information but that is not correct.

You need your passport AND birth certificate if you are getting a special license from the Min. of Justice office here in Kingston.
