brings me some peace to know that for Canada...thc testing isnt supposed to be an issue, but no i wont tell him that...

but 'some employers ask for it'?....hmmm..

i do recall one section on he application that ask if info can be shared with employers and i selected yes...thinking ' that'll make Immigration know he's willing and able to work'.....but now im wondering if i shouldnt have clicked No instead....cause now they might now look for THC in his PEE....

Ohhhhhhhh the sufferation of my pour tormented soul. Mind trips are a helluva thing.

Ana, the employers will make arrangements in CA for his testing so don't fret it none. CIC won't share anything with employers. Even if they did, he won't be tested for it in JA

Afternoon, everyone!

Welcome back, sammystorm!

Anada, everyone has their rollercoaster days during this process. The important thing is to just to fight through together.

Congratulations and jubilations, Amandawood! Good luck getting hubby to keep quiet, LOL, never known many men who could keep baby news to themselves!

hmmm also im applying from Canada, so it may take longer, than if he was to apply himself in Kingston?

im still so confused about what would have been the best, or fastest approach...i WISH from the beginning we knew what we were doing, cause he would have surely been up here by now.

Family class sponsorships must first be submitted to the CPC-Mississauga office, Anada. Then it goes to KG for your husband to be evaluated and approved, since he is here in Jamaica. He could not apply himself here in Kingston under family class, as a sponsor must be approved first for such applications (the spouse/common-law/conjugal partner).

If he was to apply for a TRV to visit (unlikely he will be granted one) or for an economic class application (skilled worker, work permit), he would do so directly to KG.

yes congrats Mrslwsn...that's pretty amazing. Gives me hope.
thx, if you put together a solid app, it can go for you guys too. 1 make sure all signatures are there, make sure whatever proof you have it is great solid proof. Doesnt have to be nuff nuff, but as long as quality is good. Pay all fees up front, saves a lot of time. The ganja is the least of your worries. I collected so much info from Charlie and the rest of the forum crew, did my research and carefully put together my app. I didnt want to have to do anything on my end after I send of, so I left no room for error. Make sure police clearance isnt more than 3 months before mississauga get the application and such. I think if you follow these steps, and your app is straightforward, you shouldnt have a hard time. And for anyone new who applying, if you are low income like myself, what we did was also send his certificates and diplomas from high school and college to show he has education and employability here in Canada. All these things I feel contributed to our quick success...........

BUT THEN AGAIN....AH PROBABLY DI PICTURE OF ME N HUBBY AT A ROAD DANCE IN MT. SALEM WHERE I AM BEND OVA N HIM BEHIND ME AH BUSS A PIECE AH DAGGARING...yu just neva know :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

*PANIC*

Hubby;s phone broke this weekend! If they call him he wont know it ???

I'm not sure that he will be getting a call, would love him to for obvious reasons but also because in 17 days the last direct flight to my city leaves Mobay.... Was hoping that if he gets the call this week there still may be time to get him on that specific plane!

Oh Lawd, I think Im gonna cry....

Manners! Good morning Fam....

good morning form family!

hope everyone had a good weekend ! i sure did my mom finally got to meet my mother inlaw , hope my hubby gets here soon!!!! congrats to everyone who get updates!!!!

Good Morning beautiful peeps!! welcome back safe and sound Charlie :-*

Jamgirl, do not panic :) breathe in , breathe out!

from what I gather it takes 2-4 weeks to get the passport back once it's been sent in! So even if he did get the PPR call, it would be a huge risk for you to book that ticket before he had his passport in his hands.

I have been looking for tickets as well, and hubby will be leaving from Kingston, much better prices for me leaving out of KG!~

kEEP UP THE GREAT WORK KG ;D Would love to have hubby home anytime soon =) thx.
