Morning everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday morning so far.

SQ- that is too funny! Any day that truck comes in your driveway your husband is going to leap over obstacles to sign for that package, LOL!

LWU - it depends on how long your husband was in Canada for. If he wasn't there for more than 6 months, their doing an RCMP check may not account for the extended processing time, and it's just KG doing their thing. If he was there more than 6 months, then yes, they might be doing a check on his time there.

Come on, KG, I know you've got updates for me, make those calls!!! Let's go, KG, let's GO!!! Come on folks, don't be shy, post those updates. ;D

Good morning Peeps, so i went and purchased the DHL envelope, how long do you normally wait before getting through at the embassy since as there is no parking space and will have to ask someone to take me there and return for me.

Today is another update date, get a move on it kgn, lets go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good morning everyone!

jahlove - when my husband and I went to drop off his passport, we arrived early and it was recommended to do so in order to be first or close to first in line. The further back in line you are, the longer you wait. My husband was 4th in line (each person was given a number) and after he made it inside, it took about 90 mins for him to be called up to the counter. It took less than 5 mins for them to accept his passport. People seem to congregate around the entrance early waiting for them to open and when it's time they swarm and fight to be first lol the security guards ask people to get in 2 lines....1 for interviews and 1 for drop offs. They only let in a few people at a time and usually it's the people for interviews first. I'm not sure how it went for anyone else but you should bank on being there for awhile.

Thank Nae-Nae, does it mean i cn go now?

Ok peeps, 3 questions.

#1. Do I attach the immigrants checklist as well as the documents checklist IMM 5491 or can I just attach the IMM 5491 alone?

#2. What is the verdict on best way to pay the fee, online or in the bank?

#3. Does the new barcode page I printed out when I validated
the new generic IMM 008 go on top, as in the first page?

1) Both checklists.

2) We went online, had no issues. The bank one can cause additional delay as you have to wait for them to mail a form to you, which can take a month.

3) Yes, it does.

Thank you,
So now, which section do I paperclip the immigrants checklist to, and would i put the other 5491 checklist under the barcoded paper?

To pay the entire thing online do I need one credit card with $1040.00 limit on it?

Also are stapled papers acceptable or should I paperclip everything...and are small clear ziplock baggies acceptable to put my loose photos in? Sorry last stupid question, although they ask for proof of marriage from both applicant and sponsor, I dont need to put more than one copy of our marriage certificate in there do i?

What we did was put the immigrant checklist on top of all the immigrant's forms and the overall checklist, IMM 5491 on top of the sponsor's forms which were on top of everything. The barcode goes over all that, yes.

If you can't put the entire amount on one card, try to split it according to the fees (application fees: $550) and (RPRF: $490) on two different cards.

NO staples, paperclips only. The photos need to be loose, so no folders or sleeves or anything. We used one of those massive bulldog clips to hold ours together.

ok, gotcha, thanks. So that's a no to my handy ziplocks? lol...anyone else do this?

Good afternoon everyone. My imm consultant finally got a response from Kingston yesterday. They have asked for our original documents yay.... Although we still have not recieved an AOR.

What is the best way to send those in? my husbands uncle has those documents and he lives in Kingston. Can he drop those off? and since I only have my client ID# can he just write our names and that number on the envelope?

baby steps....

RG, that's great news! AOR, schmay-OR! An original document request is movement in the right direction! Yes, your uncle can drop them off, and definitely needs to write both your names and contact information on the envelope.

Here's a thought...I emailed the general email for KG and got my file number, why don't you do the same and get your husband's file number? Then you could have that information to put on the envelope. They answered me very quickly (I emailed them Thurs night and got a response on Friday morning). Your consultant could make that request for you.

Mrs Lwsn, no, no Ziplock baggie, LOL. Seriously, one of the seniors on this forum says they dump all this stuff anyways, you are just sending it to waste.

No well reason being, it that I have many years of proof so I kinda have it divided, 2007-2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, wedding, bridal shower. I supposed I will just paperclip them with a scrap of paper on top decribing each bundle of pics. I want to simplify it for them. or maybe myself. What about 2 copies of marriage cert, not necessary? The wedding proof can be sent as one correct? As in proof from sponosr vs. applicant. I cant wait friday this foolishness outta here.

hey Charlie thanx for the kind words. I am pretty sure my imm guy already did that. Just in case tho what would that address be to make that inquiry? I sent a cas specific inquiry 3 months ago and nothing...

Mrslwsn I put our photos in a photo envelope, the kind you get when they are developed at the store. I also believe you need 1 marriage cert for the sponsorship app and 1 for the PR app. I sent a copy with the sponsorship app and original with PR app (I separated the 2 with supporting documents behind each app)
