Ok charlie i send my app to the canada immgration 03/18/2011 and i got approval letter april/26/2011 and i was also told that my file is send to kingston didnt hear nothing from kingston as of yet

You will not hear anything from KG for at least another couple months, if they require any additional documents or wish to schedule an interview, the applicant or your representative if you used one will be advised. If no documents or an interview are required until they are ready to finalize processing, you may not hear from them for at least another 6-8 months. Welcome to the wait.

Jahlove: my prayer to you at this time as I can understand the frustration. All I can say is that if we can surpass this wait with the process we can surpass anything that may be ahead! Chin up I know at times you may not see the light at the end of the tunnel by not getting a response yet from Kingston although trust that they are reviewing your file. I know how you feel it's a tough battle that even our closest friends in our physical surroundings will never understand unless they are going though what we all are on this forum.

I have been reading although not posting been anxiously talking to husband regarding passport drop off. He finally dropped off yesterday. He is going to get visa in his passport it so surreal. Now I have one question my husband got his medical in early august 2010, will Kingston have his timeline to leave before his medical? Or has anyone heard of Kingston having an earlier timeline to leave? I have this question because I think my husband wants to wait until the bitter end of his time limit in Jamaica...and I dont want to wait too much longer after He receives his VISA....so please respond I'm eager to hear/ read your thoughts....

Can-Indy-Jam, if they were going to request his departure by a specific date, they would have asked for a travel itinerary when he brought in the PP. Remind your husband that if he shilly-shallies around, the visa WILL expire and you will have to reapply and go through this process all over again. I don't think either one of you wants that, so get his ticket booked to get him into Canada for landing ASAP. He can always come back to Jamaica after he receives his PR card to tie up any loose ends, if that is what he is worried about.

Possibly because your husband's medical has more than 30 days validity left on it is the reason they didn't ask for an itinerary. For most persons whose medical expired in less than 30 days after the visa was issued, they have requested an itinerary with a specific deadline.

NMH - KG is entirely unpredictable and inconsistent in their use of the eCAS/GCMS system, so don't expect too much from that side. You likely will not see anything on eCAS until your husband's case is nearly finalized, or even after it is finalized.

Hi i see that someone got landed in three months is that really i wish .Also can i track my husband status while kingston and does the info on the canadian immgration does it ever change

Yes, Miracle44 was landed in 3 months. However, it is pointless to compare applications, each one is evaluated on its own merits and no two will be handled the same. As you can see from the spreadsheet, 2010 applications are being closed in an average of 8 months. Your application has been at KG less than 1 month, so if they keep up the current trend, your husband will not hear anything from them before December.

SQ - trust me, I came here just as ignorant, and have learned a great deal, and am still learning. This process can do a lot of things to you, but I figure turning it into a learning experience is the best way to go at it.

CharlieD10: thanks for the quick post and response. I appreciate it. I also hope your husband is doing well. I'm not sure exactly why he is on disability but hope everything works out for him. I also do think you may be on to something with those brownies and immigration.

OMG Charlie...you could run a business in Jamaica while your waiting, doing peoples applications for them hahaha!! You have no idea how many people ask me for help with applications for PR, applications for visas or work programs...and also finding wives which annoys the hell out of me.

The applications I don't mind even though until now I had to tell people I was not sure how to proceed with them...but wives...or girls asking for husbands? Seriously...NOT every women I know is desperatly seeking a Jamaican husband, and chances are the men that are asking are probably not the ones I would hook up with my dear friends. Same for the women seeking men! If a man or women is willing to take anybody...obviously its a visa ting pon dem mind! And who in their right mind would wish that kind of situation and heartbreak on their friends or family?
