Morning jahlove and everyone!

How goes the morning so far? I am wide awake far too early, woke up to rain this morning. I am not complaining! This time last year we were in the midst of a long drought, and the water situation was terrible. I am not used to water lock-offs and lack of rain, that is something I have only had to deal with being in Kingston, LOL. Hubby was aghast at having to catch water in the tub to take baths, poor soul.

Need to confab with hubby regarding our anniversary plans...

Charlie...

I remember the drought oh too well... In Kingston you had it lucky with only being down certain days/times and limited stretches... In Clarendon we went 6m without water in our pipes... NEVER again!

Chelley...one more reason Clarendon tops the list of "Places in Jamaica I would never move to".

lol...

i think the best was that after about 3 weeks without water we hit christmas time... and christmas morning suddenly the water come back on... for no more than an hour... like the powers that be thought that we were worthy of such a delightful treat for christmas... (insert a kmt if i was one to do that lol)

Don't you just hate that? I lived in a working neighbourhood when hubby was here first...so naturally everyone went to work by 8 a.m. Water was available between 9 and 5. ::) Really, NWC? Sure, make water available not only when we can't use it, but when nobody is home to catch any!!! KMT and SMH. :P

:O Soso! Long time indeed, I don't think you've said anything since I've been here, and I been hanging about here since Sep 2010, LOL. How's life and things?

My Girl MEL MEL is going through the process and I knew exactly where to send her for the best advice..
So excited for her!!!

Well you know she's in the right place, but do we already know her?

I am doing great CHARLIE... thanks... Forgive me as I have not been here in a while and will catch up with all your stories
This is the best FORUM in the WORLD .. I have madd respect for all in here and can't wait for MELMEL to get through

NO she is a new member... just joined today...
She is getting Married in Sept and we want to give her the best head start!
So what are the wait times now?
and the fees?
Single application. No kids...?
Any help would be great.

So-so, that's excellent you referred her here before she got started! My husband found this forum to help us before we started our application process (but not before we applied for a TRV and got denied), and it has been a tremendous help!

OK, so fees now = $1040.00 for a spouse. That's everything including Right of PR fee.

Wait time...if you go back a page or two you will see the latest update listing, which shows that most 2010 apps are being completed in 7-10 months. We've had some exceptional cases (short = 4 mos, long = 23 mos), but on average, they are looking at 8 months wait time for a straightforward, well-prepared application.

so-so mi fren, wat gwaan. How are things going, all settled in enjoying life. We're doing awesome, all settled in and enjoying life as well. Welcome mel mel when you make it here

Charlie, thank god most Candians do not have the same knowledge of "funny man". God only knows what they would come back with. The Post office is doing a search for them mangoes for a 25% donation once we find them. Will keep you posted
