Ok ok so i can seperate everything and put it in a big binder labelled by section...and supporting documents etc... can actually take the forms apart...I dont have to send it in all stapled together like when I recieved it.

And all the photos go in one big envelope...not seperate envelopes for each section.

The papers can be in a container for sending, but not a binder. Don't punch them and put them in anything like that, they are going to remove them anyways. And separate the file by sections. Use a bulldog or binder clip, or several small ones, as I said. No staples, and no outer binder.

But yes, one envelope for pics.

Ok this all makes sense now. If I was in a calmer state of mind it likely wouldn't be so hard to grasp.

Thanks again....alright back to putting my nose to the grindstone. I'm sure I will be on here alot today lol lol lol

Relax. I know this is hugely important, but I will give you the same advice I give accounting interns I train: Accuracy is more important than speed. If you take your time and do it right the first time around, you won't need to do it over! :) Don't think about the fact that you leave on Monday, just concentrate on what you need to achieve today.

So... hubby got letter from KGN saying they have his app. he got it back in november but.... i hadn't seen the letter till now and they said that processing takes 6 months. that's good right?

Abacogringo - Kingston seems to be averaging about 7-8 months lately. At least your husband got an AOR, for quite a while last year it seems they didn't issue many or any, and then they started again in November.

sweet...try not to get TOOOOO excited but there's a glimmer of hope right? :) Let's go Kingston!!

SmoothiesQ - you posted your question in the wrong thread...but I saw your name, wondered why you were posting in the thread for Pakistan and read it, so I'm going to answer it here.

7-8 months includes the processing in Canada, which is taking approximately 37 days now, not sure who told you 2-3 months.

LOL LOL LOL...... ;D its true...I've lost my mind. This immigration process/forms have taken my sanity...lol dunno how I managed to post it in the Pakistan thread hahahahaha!!!

Perhaps I will need a brain transplant by the time I'm done!!! I think mine is about fried!! :P

Soo how many photos did most a y'all send with your immigration package. I have about three hundred and some so far!!!

smoothiesqueens....

I just want to let you know for my package i did something similar to charlie.... I placed about 50 pictures or so and place scotch tape under them to glue them on a white paper and beside or under each pic i wrote who was in it and when it was taken and all that nice stuff....

I made kind of a book and binded it with a spiral plastic black thing (note sure the name) but its like an agenda spiral thing... I had to make 2 books cause I had over 500 pages....

I hope this helps also I placed a table of content which really helped to find info

Hmm....I think we had about 150 pics, more or less.

wow lonely, your file was serious eh? not sure you're supposed to attach things together because i believe they like to partition things apart, and divide them up their own specific ways... ( i write sales and business proposals for a living and we often get clients who request that we don't bind things and that's the main reason... different departments/functional areas need different aspects of the proposal) but CIC didn't return it to you, so i guess all's well, i suspect they have bought into your proposal and will soon make you an offer :)

i know no one asked me, but my file was sooooo piddly compared to everyone else's! seriously it was less than 70 pages in total... probably close to if not under 50 if you take out all the tabbed coverpages/cross reference material etc...

I think we put about 25-30 photos (i put them 4-5 to a page with captions below) , 3-4 from each trip (demonstrating something me meeting his family, him and i at significant places that were discussed within the actual applicaiton and about 10 from the wedding itself that showed various elements... i didn't include any random pictures, just ones that were actually talked to in some way in our applicaiton...

I am 100% confident that had i been as involved with these boards as i am now, when i was preparing my application, i would have put myself into early labour fretting about what i did and didn't include! so i guess my son benefited from my being somewhat oblivious to the lenghts that some have gone in this process!

:)

lol chelley... thats cause i included about phones bills from cell phone and home phone from 2007 til 2010 so that took up lots of room...

I am not sure about the binding things but my lawyer is the one that did it like that... They never returned the file so I am assuming that they are buying into it lol

LOL chelley...you are a born sales person, you don't need a lot of words to get your point across!

I included a lot of pictures, but what mainly took our package up to 5lbs was the chat log printouts. My husband and I talk all throughout the day every day at all hours. Since that was much of the evidence I had, I printed lots of excerpts to get across the fact that this is who we are as a couple when we don't live together. I tried to show us talking about every thing...finances, family events, watching TV together, plans we have for the future, all the mundane things of life. And we had lots of pics because, well, in my family, everyone has a camera in your face as soon as we are together, recording the event for posterity. :P

I included 5 or 6 phone bills from various times in the relationship and put a little table that summarized the calls in the bills that weren't included (number of calls and total time per month (and just for fun how stupidly high my phone bills were, and NOW my provider offers free UK calls :( ARGH!)) told them those bills were available on request... this is what i did with chats and emails too...

i did go the route of printing it on 80lb paper.. it was almost cardstock... wanted to make sure that document was indestructable! and 80lb just feels important if you will... i used to print my resumes on it and always got comments that it really was a great touch... so i killed a few trees printing myself can't say i was being envrionmental lol
