Waiting 4 a Star:: I guess I'm a little confused. Were you on this forum before with a different name? or are you new to the forum: if your new welcome! Also Wishing you all the best it's hard times like these that we must trust the process and know that GOD will pull through for these are tough emotions that we all go through. Especially when people have to wait for such a long period of time. I hope Kingston will bless you with a call soon. This upcoming week will be your week!!

I am praying for everyone to bring them peace and trust the process by having the emotional strength to carry through these upcoming weeks. I pray that Kingston will follow up and follow through with effective communication to all the Immigration Applications from Canada.

Have a great upcoming week everyone! I look forward to hearing some great news from Kingston....and will keep on checking this forum for the great news that is up and coming.

Good morning everyone!

Hoping to see some good news this week, Let's GO, KG, LET'S GO!!

If all goes well, hubby should be here next week. I am hoping anyways, still need to get his pp back. Not too unhappy about the delay, it gives me time to get tax day out of the way, wuk a kill me. :-X

good morning everyone, happy Monday! Let's hope we hear some news from KG this week!!

About the US visa, I have researched it before and found a website

general info on the visa, how to apply etc is here

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1262.html

electronic visa application and appointment booking is here

http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/usa_visa.asp

You have to fill out an application form, submit it online, schedule an appointment for an interview at the consulate in Toronto. Once you attend the interview, if they agree to issue the visa, you have to go pick it up 4 days after the interview (so says the website)

The website says the following about the visitors visa - documents you need to produce

B2: Visitor for Pleasure
DS-160.
Valid Passport (at least 6 months).
Proof of legal status in Canada: original or certified copy.
Older passports containing previous visas.
Documents substantiating previous legal status in U.S.
Reciprocity fee (if applicable).
Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in the U.S.
Proof of ties/residence in a country outside the U.S. which have no intentions of abandoning.
Evidence which show the purpose of trip.

The Reciprocity fee for JA on the table says "none" and the visa is valid for 120 months

Nonimmigrant visa application processing fee (non-refundable) for Non-petition-based nonimmigrant visa (B visitors) is $140.00

that can be found here

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1263.html

I'm not sure if you need this or not, it may be a Nexus card

Border crossing card fees

Border crossing card - age 15 and over (Valid 10 years): $140.00
Border crossing card - under age 15; for Mexican citizens if parent or guardian has or is applying for a border crossing card (valid 10 years or until the applicant reaches age 15, whichever is sooner): $14.00

Morning everyone

just sitting here waiting for the mail man to come in JA so hubby can call and say the mail man bring good news,

my hopes are high today.

hi can any one tell me if i go to the kgn immigration today would they let me in to drop off documents? or they have specific days where ur allowed inside?

Morning Everyone!

highlyfavored. We sent original documents via courier and had no issues at all. You can track it no problem as well. Just another option for you if you dont want to travel to KNG.

Regarding entering USA, i travelled on a UK passport and a Canadian PR card by car at Niagra Falls. Still had to get a visa, had to get eye scanned, weighed, measured, interview, give all my personal info and then they issued me a 6 months travel visa. I had to wait over 6 hours to get this done - I did try and cross the border at 11 am on a Saturday of a long weekend so a lot of people were there - that was my first mistake. Next time I will cross the border at 2 in the morning. If i am staying in Niagra Falls the night before (which I ususally do) I will go 2 in the morning, get my visa, then come back to Canada and go the next morning with my visa stapled in passport.

Highlyfavoured Did they call requesting the documents? If they didn't I don't think they'll accept it. They allow drop offs Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30- 2:30. I know this was in effect up to January, but given how Kingston changes like the weather, I'm not sure if this is still the norm.

Good morning everyone, this immigration situation is really taking a toll on me. I know that i am somewhat early but deep down inside i was really hoping to hear something from kgn, i guess that is jus wishfull thinking. I really need to get on with my life, how can those IO be so carefree about other people's life. Well i am jus here guys reading and feeling very sad about the whole thing.

Kgn is such a disappointment right now. Hubby sent an email to kgn to get some sort of status report since we cant go with what's on the site, dont think any good will come from that but we'll see what happens there.

COME ON KGN LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THIS IS A NEW WEEK

Later guys

Jahlove: I too feel guiltyfor complaining as being on this forum shows me that there are so many people who have been going through this for way longer than myself, but it still hurts just the same. Any time spent away from the person you love is so hard..more so when you have no control of the situation. It is just so sad. I can only hope the time away will make us stronger and we will appreciate our significant other so much more. Hang in there!
