LMAOOOOOOO....... "Dont mash it up" tune, to the "Full time Bammy" Riddim, Featuring Jammy!!! MAHD! lolololol!

For sure I will pass on the message Maple xoxooxoxoxo Thanks girl!

lol canuck... splitting fire wood and shovelling muscles... awww dont scare the women!

To be honest as many times you have seen snow in shows, or you hear hubby and us all talk about it, I dont think you can really get your mind around how COLD it can be, and its not just the cold, its the wind and snow and sleet and hail and icicles...everything all put in one..... worse up in Alberta and those places too! In downtown Toronto I am lucky if we get a foot of snow, but out there, and even in the country here in Ontario or the suberbs even.... man you can get like 5 feet of snow, after people shuvle the snow and the trucks come by thats like 10 feet a snow......blow wow!!!!

I wish i had that Jamaicans first snow fall... bout the shuvelling the snow.... See if i can find it... hahaha!

For real.... who is going to take over the update list now...???????????? It went from me.... and i passed the torch to Jammy.... now we need a new volunteer.......... Any volunteerss???

Jammy hold di torch likkle mek wi si... ;D

KC Mi no gone yet but it would be nice if one of the "new" people take it over when the time comes.

MAPLE: That was so sweet :'( Thanks girl

CANUCK: You not easy at all. You want too much out of a woman. BAM BAM and food will have to do...shovel snow and chop wood.

OK on to the business.

Boo - I felt the frustration building inside me as I read your post. I am POSITIVE we had the same IO. She is rude, aggresive and has a beligerant tone. I understand that your husband may have been unprepared for that line of questioning, it may be devastating at first but like everyone has said.... rally yourself and get to work.

The only thing I can add to Chelley's (brilliant) advice is to engage your MP. Let him/her know what has happened, they are there to assist you in matters such as these. For instance, when I realised the 30 days I was given was not enough to amass some of the info from the Jamaican RGD, I asked my MP to email that brute... I mean IO and ask for an extension. I got another 60 days. So don't waste any time. You should also apply for your CAIPS notes ASAP. The IO should have updated the file with the notes she made from the interview, this may shed some light as to what 'specifically' her concerns are.

The great thing about this that you have the benefit of our collective experience. Don't worry yourself about what was 'said' or 'implied'. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. Some IO's think it's their 'job' to belittle, confuse or intimidate people hoping that they will mess up. Arm yourself with all the information you can so that you can reduce any possibility of doubt in her mind. If I could do it, so can you! Don't give up. :-*
If you need any additional help, send me a private message. You are not alone this.

Peeked in and saw Jammy's update, congrats :) :D :D

Jammy, hubby will likely take you up on that.

Angella - Tomas still south-east of Jamaica, don't take down the batten them yet. Supposed to start feeling more effects come tomorrow and the centre of the storm supposed to pass through to Haiti around Friday morning. Jamaica is under official Tropical Storm Watch.

As soon as I take my eye off the weather website, hubby updates me again. Poor thing, he feels so bad to leave me alone to deal with it. I told him I went through Gilbert, and was all by myself except for my cat during Ivan, plus there was Gustav and Dean after, so I am expert at this now. :P

Hey guys

The processing time for skilled workers has gone to 40 mnths...

Please see the processing times for the family side......

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

Wi rebuke them timelines ya in Jesus's name...

CIC and Mr. Kenney not on the same page. In a news release Mr. Kenney say how they are trying to speed up family class, and same time CIC update their website with longer timelines.

Well. Hubby and I didn't know anything when we started this process, and now we know so much more thanks to this forum, all I can say is that is a good thing, otherwise I would be going mad thinking how we are going to be 1773 miles (Toronto to Kingston) apart for 15 months after we get that application off (not counting the month and nearly half it is taking CPC-M nowadays).

Thank God mi married him for life, otherwise mi jus kiss mi teeth and go bout mi business when mi read that link, sheraig.

And 40 months fi Skilled Worker??? Nuh dem same one sey inna di press release bout how Canada need Skilled Workers fi keep the recovery of di economy pon stream? How in God's name do you take 40 months to process an application from a potential taxpayer, who will work and contribute to your society??

CharlieD: its just a bigg mess..when I applied my AOR says they will try to process my application in 18-24mnths. Now month after month the timeline keep extending. This month makes it exactly three yrs...March will take me to the 40 mnths so...all i can do is wait and see what's really in store for me in the coming months...

I think most of you guys application will be processed before the 15mnths.
Hoping and praying...not cool for married people to be separated that long!

Boo: girl I hope u recouping...my mind's on you....link Chelley....
Still here praying for you!

Hi gang, This isn't an imm issue but going to ask anyway. I know many of you have travelled to the Bahamas and thinking of going there at xmas. Thinking of taking the Mrs for a little trip. Went to Curacaos for our honeymoon last year so want to try something a little different. So where is a nice place to go with ocean view and close to good food. Prefer non-inclusive as we like to try different palces. any suggestions
