hello everyone here is what is promise to us https://www.thestar.com/news/immigration/2016/06/18/ottawa-cutting-spousal-sponsorship-backlog.html

I read that early and I'm not sure if I'm reading into it too much but I don't see where they speak of Permanent Residence. Just Canadians

I see then talking about sending emails and letters to inland applicants what about outland?

The article has nothing to do with outland. All it shows is that outland sponsorships are backlogged by 46,000 applications. Good news for inland, not much change for outland

June 2016 is the worst month I've seen so far for PPR. KVO is so quiet that I feel like a whole bunch of emails and calls are going to happen for a lot of people in the coming month. The stress of the inland application, in my opinion, is not even half as bad as outland. Inland applicants can work and be with their spouses and families, contribute to the country and not sit there wondering when they're going to see their wives/husbands again. Outland is very stressfuland I would love for Mr Trudeau to address the issue and actually do something about it. Hoping for the best, better must come.

Thats the good thing for real with inland..We outlanders have to sit and wait, and not everyone from either side of the fence can travel as often as we would like..I'm now in Canada and will be heading back to Jamaica soon and doubt i will see my wife for the rest of the year as ether of us will have time off from work to travel..#sucks :(

The question is how long we still aguh wait. Why allow people to sponsor spouses if they didnt have space for them in the first place? . If you are going to open that sector n the relationship looks genuine then let the people dem through. Thats like saying oh yea your marriage looks real but we cant let you through because we dont have enough space, so lets put you at the bottom of the pile

Exactly. If you look on some of the other threads like New Delhi (India), their PPR's are countless. It makes me wonder if all the damn spots are going to them..

Do u guys feel some PPR are in the works to come soon? Next couple weeks? Taking into consideration this "effort" the government is making!? I'm feeling hopeful! Heading to JA till mid July, would love nothing more than to bring my husband back with myself and our son! ❤️

It's quite possible but even after ppr it states it can take up to 21 business days to get it back and it even takes longer sometimes so there's even more waiting ugh!

Yes that does suck! But I am willing to extend my stay if he at least gets the call for PPR :) that would be amazing! I would love for him to come home with us... So so badly ... I am prepared for it to take 3 weeks at least to get passport back after PPR, that's another unfair part tho, once they're approved they should be expressed in! Not fair then have to wait on them yet AGAIN

I suspect New Delhi has a high rate of ppr because in their culture the majority of their marriages are arranged by the families so maybe cic doesn't look that deep in the relationship versus our culture where we meet we don't and even then fraud can occurred but then again I could be wrong

It would be nice if they could just mailed out the visa once approved with the pp info on it so that way it can't be altered so instead of asking for the passport and having to mail it back Maybe that way it can cut down on some of the waiting ah well Just an idea that would probably never happen lol
