KMC...Yes I have had struggles, I have not been on BC since before meeting my husband, which is almost three years ago. We have had no luck with concieving until recently, but as I am sure you read, that joy was short lived. I am hopeful when our time is right it will work out for us but I am going to see a Dr. next wek actually to see if we can give God and mother nature a push in our favour :) I am so ready to be a mum...I can't wait til I can experience it all, but my time soon come.
Praying for good news for all

Good morning everyone! First time mi sun since week! :P

Nae-nae: Hubby is doing good healthwise, his blood count is hovering close to normal, we scheduled a visit to his regular doctor back in Ontario for soon after he gets back. Just a few more days to go, so yes, trying to get in all the loving we can :D I want to take him to Devon House if the weather improves, buy him some ice-cream and behave like a teenager and makeout under the trees ;D He hopes to be back for Christmas, God willing. Thanks for checking!

Tropical storm Nicole caught everybody by surprise, man :o . The place mash up down Sav-la-Mar where I am from, I haven't been down there since August when we went to Negril for our honeymoon, but the pictures on Face(Fass)book from friends down there not pretty.

Well, it's October. Rosemel, just 25 more days to go, hang in there! Time soon run off. Come on KG, let's get everyone else on the long wait moving!

Good morning and Happy friday everyone!

To set the record absolutely straight. I am not pregnant (YET) but hubby and I would like to conceive next year, God willing. My stepson is already begging me for a brother though hehehe. But my comment was really directed @ KC b/c she knows what I was talking about. 8) Sorry for the mix up but I had a great big laugh though!! ;D

Charlie - Mine and my hubby's relatives live between Sav and Negril (very close to the sea) and we haven't really heard much as to what's going on down there. Though my mother-in-law called our phone this morning and left a message but didn't say anything besides 'its not ringing' bless her heart! Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone dealing with TS Nicole.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend and loads of updates this month.

Morning everyone. I can't believe how fast Sept went by. I pray for Oct to be a great month for updates for all. Hubby tells me its still raining and they got power back finially. Charlie hubby lives not far from Sav. Lots and lots of water and all that great stuff. :(. We are having alot of trouble getting through calling.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. And come next week the board swamped with ppl updating COME ON KG. :D :D.

Wow Glo and Maple! Lots of Westmorelites here :D

I have talked to my mother every day, she lives in Sheffield, just outside of Negril. They lost power for almost 36 hours, but it is back there. When I checked yesterday afternoon, Sav-la-Mar was still without power, though. It is STILL raining down there, my mother's employer had to send a 4WD vehicle to collect her! ???

Sav was hard hit though, I saw pictures of flooded homes, downed power lines, debris all over the roads, and the Baptist Church on Great George Street was destroyed. It looked like a tornado passed over the town, my mom said.

Hope everyone gets through to their loved ones, situations like this are hard when there is no news flowing out to those of us far away.

TGIF, and let's get some more updates, KG!

My fam is from Westmoreland as well. It was hit pretty bad especially Sav. Freakin Tornado hit the place,. That is scary man....we too small to deal with tornados.

This storm was so unexpected. It feels like a hurricane the amount of damage done and lives lost. Hope everybody's family is safe and sound.

Good afternoon forum family. The weather is finally breaking a bit in Manchester so hopefully things will dry up for them. Yeh the phones have been poor last few days, Mrs still can't phone out. Well a brand new shiny month ahead for us and hopefully good news will flow freely for us. Wouldn't be Friday if we didn'tb hear from Little Johnnie

Little Johnnie was curious about what a strip club was like so one day he decided to sneak into one. Once he was in, he watched as the strippers danced. He watched until they started taking of their clothing. That's when he bolted out the door and started running down the street and into a man. The man asks the boy, "What's wrong young man? You look like you just saw a ghost!". The little boy replies, "My mommy and daddy told me that if I ever watched anybody undress, I'd turn to stone...and all of a sudden I felt something hard!".

Hahaha Canuck0469 :P :P :P

Hi guys, just got this on another thread which basically states that the new standards were put into place yeasterday and will affect all applications that a final decision has not been made. Don't know if it will be any different than the old one as we have to meet all the criteria anyway. Only give the VO more discressionary authourity

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2010/ob238.asp

thanks for posting that canuck....it makes sense but probably means it's going to be a longer process for those with children applying for PR.

Am I thinking correctly that a spouse sponsoring someone for PR who has a child would essentially be adopting that child?

Not necessarily Nae. You can sponsor a child without adopting them if they are the child of your spouse.

I think what this means is that not only do you have to prove that your relationship is genuine but also that you did not enter the marriage for the sole purpose of immigrating to canada. I think it could make the process even longer but I guess we just have to take a wait and see approach.

I dont think its something to worry about if your relationship is bonafide. My only worry now is if they have to go through the old files that are already in process that it will add to the already long processing time.....just what we need ???

YEAHHHHH its the weekend glad to see the forum still in good spirits! Congrats to the newbies, the pregnancies & oh sheraig that poem tek my breath away :'(thanks i will rememba that one ;)

I got a feeling Oct going 2b a gud month... BTW anyone can tell me what can/cant apply for when sponsoring spouse e.g no welfare assistance but are there any housing subsidies etc?.... (I work but only part-time)

WISHIN EVRY1 NICE WEEKEND ;D
