Sammystorm19. Can you give us a breakdown of what order the process goes in? If you also have a link to the Operations manual that the VO's follow, that would be awesome info for us.

Which process are you talking about? Ecas or what the Vo's do?

Also I will have to find the link for that manual. I use to have it but can't seem to find it anymore

Well after the application has about 5 inches of dust on it...they clean that off and they start with eligibilty and then go onto the security and background checks. Those are the 3 steps which they can complete in about a month or so.

Now remember it can take longer if the applicant needs an ARC or police checks from other countries where other background checks need to be done. If it's a simple - applicant has never left the country - type app it shouldn't take long at all. Most of the wait is waiting for them to process the application.

On ECAS this is the order you will see for the applicant
Application Received
Medicals Received - if they update this as some never see this at all even though meds are there
In Process
Decision Made - this is the one you really wantto see

On the Sponsors side all you will see is decision made if you've been approved to sponsor. HOwever also on the sponsors side you can see the applicants info as well

Ok so I have been stalking DHL for 2 days now and nothing FFS!!!

When the passport was sent in nothing was updated till end of the day - stupid DHL

I just wanna book a ticket and get my hubby home to us.

Come on DHL give me some damn info

No I have never been to Kingston, well except our plane was diverted there once bc there was a pothole in MoBay airport that needed to be fixed so we flew to KGN, refueled then flew back to MoBay.

The 5 inches of dust now explains everything and I can see clearly now....the KGN VOs and workers have severe allergies to dust so everytime they have to pick up one of these FILES/TOMBS they have allergic attacks so are always having to take extra days off work...hence they are on the immigration-hellmouth and our files take longer than most other countries to process. AAAHHH Crystal Clear now...LOL!

I'm sorry to be so late in getting back to you-I couldn't find your file and phone number, but found it today.
CIC basically told me that the reasons you provided to expedite the sponsorship were not valid. They are still looking at 20 months from Oct. 2013, which would bring us to June 2015.
I know you mentioned going there for a visit again if you can't hang in that long-at least now you know what you are dealing with.
