I got my response to my email and here it is.
Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Port of Spain.


The application is currently in process at our office in Port of Spain, however, you should wait until medical instructions are issued by our office before you complete the medical exam.

I guess its good that they state we are in process. It would be nice if they updated ECAS to show that. Oh well, at least they responded, right?!

I got the same email within 2 minutes after I sent it, yes quick response hope they are quick on the files.

WOW nice, I am still waiting for a reply regarding the new pc and meds and no reply yet. Sent my email last Thursday....

Hey guys the trinidad office is soo nice. Never in a million years kingston would reply to me in 2mins. But they say my file is being processed in kingston.

Has anyone used the CSE upload for the documents. I'm sure it would work and save money on courier charges from Jamaica to Trinidad.

They requested for ours to be extended on April 7th and it's showed on our notes it was done before the end of April. So only takes a couple weeks. Once extended they are good for another year

Good morning JamFam,

I hope the day is going well for each an everyone of you so far.

Well, I am on my 87 day of waiting to hear whether my Sponsor was approved. I have read in another forum of a similar case as my own an it was refused...I am aslo reading on cic tht I would have 30 day in which it appeal my case if it was refused. I jus cant figure what could they be processing so long. At this point, I honestly thing they are weighing whether or not I Misrepresented on my VISA application by putting single.

But in all honestly this case is very very technical ...but the wait is jus scaring me

I have a few questions for you guys,

1. If he has his own "family" household where he resided and I have my own, and he visited on a regular that could nt be seen as a common-law relationship could it?

2. a) If it can not be classified as a common-law relationship given it does not have all the characteristics to hold claim to it, would that then mean we where only dating?
b) And if so can they still argue Misrepresentation under tht clause?

3. Given that we were only dating and not common law nor conjugal would that mean I am or was at the time in fact single?

4. If all documents provided are dated in 2013 when the sponsor arrived in canada (ie bank account started 2013, life insurance 2013 western union 2013 everything dated after his arrived in canada) couldn't that mean the proof of conjugal relationship began in 2013 to present.

could you guys give me your honest review... I know even though we provide our evidence the review is subjective because no one is there speak on them an thus it can only be judge by what was provided so be subject let me know.

P.S. I know Im rambling but im honestly scared and lost right now.

So my hubby sent in his PC on August 29, 2014 i emailed Kingston to ask if they received it and no response so yesterday i emailed again to ask if medicals were extended and PC received and they responded within 3hrs. I was shocked.

They said:
Dear Mr. Jamwife,

This is in response to your email below. Your medical was extended and we received the Police Certificate.

Your case is in process and you will be contacted once necessary.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.


And they confirmed to me on Sept 5 that it was there :

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Port of Spain.

This Family Class application was received by our office after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps.

NOW Im totally confused !!!!!!!!
