So all this talk about police checks. And I received a letter from Kingston today requesting his new police check. Here's the kicker it was dated jan 29 and docs are due in by march 30!!! Why they wouldn't email or call is beyond me. Now hubby has to go back in an find a way to fast track his 21 day police check to express. I hope they don't request ppr this way. Does this mean they have likely extended his meds? Does anyone know. Bc they expire mid march before the police check is due. And the police check was requested before it expired. Nine of this makes any sense to me.

more than likely they are gonna ask you to do over the medical. When my brother was filed for his papers got through one week before his medical expired and Kingston let us know that if they issued his visa it would be expired on the same day as his meds so my Dad had to find the money for his ticket fast or go through the process again. All in all they explained that immigration has a STRICT policy on up to date medical. I would suggest you prepare to save for his medical redo and/or a plane ticket fee. GOOD LUCK!

I do have one question what is the time frame once you send in the Passport ?

This is so great! We filed March 11, 2013 and transferred to Kgn Apr 5, 2013..maybe we are getting close!

Yes, I would suspect they extended your husband's medical. You could always send KG an email letting them know that your hubby will be dropping off his police certificate asap and you would like to confirm if they extended his medical.

My hubby's medical and police cert. expired around the same time and they only requested his police certificate and extended his medical.

Oh no, didnt take it the wrong way at all... I feel exactly the same way. It makes me very angry that people are processed out of order, its not right.
