They do not extend police checks so if your has or is about to expire it is best to get it redone whether u send it in right away or wait for it to be requested is up to u.

Straight forward applications would be applying for you and your spouse only where the spouse has never left the country. More complicated apps would be kids coming up, spouse needs an arc or they have lived outside the country before or apps where the sponsor and applicant haven't known each other long before they got married.

Which is correct!!!

But to kingston it doesn't matter...

I have a straight foward app too.. Only thing we have a daughter together and she's canadian... He never left the country and he only applied once for visa because I was pregnant and I wanted him here and they deny him.. Other than that.. Nothing..
So its actually a hit and miss thing... We just have to keep praying, other than that... That's just kingston for us!!!!

Don't they advise you to wait because if they have already verified your police check, it is not required again to issue a visa unless they request it? Medicals are the only valid check required to leave the country? I'm asking because I'm not sure.

I swear they say not to do anything unless they request it?! Am I wrong?

Canada will not admit them without a valid police check.

They for sure say not to submit anything until they request it. I'm sure you CAN submit it prior though. I think they're just trying to avoid it expiring for a second time.

I am not sure about the appeal process, but someone will get back to you... There are a few ppl who are in the appeal process...

You mentioned picking up your passport, did you not get your Visa?... If so did they give and explanation?

What happened? Why do you need to appeal? Did they not give you a reason why you didn't get your Visa in your passport?? Sorry to hear this!!

I have no idea about appeals but am sure someone will get back to you shortly. How about searching "appeal" in the forum to see what comes up? I am certain there are a few even outside our thread that can help you.

Good Luck JFILWC!!

My recommendation, request assistance from your local MP. It won't cost you anything for them to assist you. You should have been provided with a reason for the denial on the form when you got your passport back. The MP can file an appeal on your behalf. Make sure that you submit whatever documents you need to in order to reverse the denial.
