AWW wow - I'm so glad he's doing much better and glad that he had a piece of you to remind him about you! I know about the 'beggy beggy' stuff - not so much hubby's fam or mine but other individuals who I don't really know. I have a soft heart though so if I have it to give, I do.

Yes he is, and he went and put a bigger tattoo with my name again. And I'm just like u,I will say no and still give

OMG ~
I checked email yesterday and The Lord Answered My Prayers...

Immigration is requesting medicals be redone (they have expired)
So I am hoping this is an extremely good sign....means they are at least hands on the file now...Right ?
Once the medicals are done and sent back...any ideas on how long it would take (No one knows the true answer - but any guesstimates?)

I am over the moon today! Kingston is back on the train!

Congrats on the good news! Kingston moving

Thank you. He's trying to cope. But each day he tries to remember and ask about the accident. Because he lost his friends in the crash too

I'm sorry to hear about his friend that must be hard on him. Such a sad story.

my favourite too :D

LOL! So obviously a cornmeal porridge party is in order!

So...I have another question - i'm full of questions, eh?

Anyway - what is everyone's take on emails to KGN?

I know I've seen on here - if you do it too frequently they will become upset and throw your file on the very bottom...

However, I've spoken to two individuals (one from 2012 another from early 2013) who emailed KGN every week...and got through within 4 months and 5months respectively.

I'm confuzzled! ???

LOL me too! Whenever I'm in JA my mom-in-law makes it for breakfast cause she knows I love it! LOL Although my hubby hates it!

OKAY....

TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

Do you and you significant other have a good relationship with the in-laws (parents, siblings, cousins etc.)?

As for me - my parents/siblings/family loves my husband!
- my mom has known of him for about as long as we met (when I was 12) but met him in person in 2010.
- my extended family love him also - some have known him since he was a baby...so it isn't odd for my husband to pick up the phone and call my aunt and have a 2hour convo!

On his side, they love and accept me in the fam!
I met his mom in early 2011 (because we didn't stay at the same house (Christians..in the church & staying in the same house? The news will spread like wildfire about the abomination in the small Clarendon community)
- Every time I would visit Ja (every 3-4months) his mom and I would have 'us days' where I would just go over and we would chill/chat..Hubby and the guys would go out and we would spend the day together. We often text/call each other too just to check in so it's been nice.
-his siblings are like my extended siblings! LOL the guys, I've known since I was 12 and I met his younger sister in 2011 - amazing!
- extended fam (cousins..aunts..etc) are so warm and welcoming! His aunt lives in Mississauga and when she found out about me in 2010 she was adamant about meeting me lol! I was sooooo nervous going to her house to meet her & his cousins here - but they're amazing and I spend time with them every so often!

All around happy story for me....how about you?

My relationship with my family in JA is sweet. I gained a beautiful family and a step son who just turned 12 in Sept. I was there for his birthday and we celebrated with me preparing dinner. Made corn dogs and French fries and baked a cake.

My husband resides at his mom’s that comprises of his sister, her two sons, mom and my hubby and his son. I have a lovely relationship with them. I stay in touch with his sister, through FB or texts. I was fortunate that I was able to spend 5 weeks with them. It was a good bonding time with them all. They loved and respected me and this was mutual. His mom is assistant pastor and I missed her days when she blasted the gospel tunes and I would sit and listen to her singing. Kids would be outside tending to the laundry. Dinner would be cooking on the stove…most of the time my hubby was the cook. He is a tremendous cook and is so meticulous and clean…aww life in JA.

My husband is loved by my family. He has not met any of them, but he chats with my dad on the phone. My dad is French Canadian therefore his English is not the best at times, he has trouble understanding my husband. But Mark (my husband) has a very good English with little accent; or maybe I am just better at understanding him after this time. We will celebrate 2 years in July. Married since Sept 21. Love that man greatly.

- I don't think that anyone can say for sure... I would say to e- mail them only if u have to ( confirm receipt, update info, etc)... But wouldn't rant and rave about the looooooong wait ... That's what the JamFam is for...lol :P
- I e- mailed them twice ( 1st in May 2012) to confirm that they received my application ( it was sent Feb. 18, 2012.... But I never heard from them) ... They responded, by sending me a generic e-mail confirming the receipt of my application.... It is in the processing que...
- I e- mailed them 2 weeks ago ( regarding now expired medical, police check...), no response
... I try to keep it brief and straight to the point ( my questions, point form)

Completely understandable - I'll likely wait a month or so to email re: receipt of application also :)
