Aww, I feel so sorry for all of you with the cold temperatures!

Thanks for asking O&O!!!!

Hubby is adapting better than I could have imagined! My friends and family have been very supportive and are trying everything they can to make him as comfortable possible.

It is bone-chilling freezing in Winnipeg and hubby has been a trooper!!!! He was having problems taking a deep breath and he said his skin feels likes it's being stretched very tightly -- he has already gone through two bottles of lotion!!!!!

It is quite the ordeal when he gets ready to leave the house!!!! It takes him about 20 minutes to layer up, get his boots, hat, scarf, and jacket on!!!!

LOL!!! LMAO! Black people skin is not made for the cold I guess, I'm half and half, and no matter how often I lotion, oil or cream my body my skin is always dry and thirsty during the cold season.

So..I've read the sponsorship requirements over and over...and I'm 23days since I've filed my application....why am I here freaking out over a) whether CPC-M has lost my application and b) whether i'll be approved....

LOL! Even when I read people's posts about what they included in their sponsorship packages..I'm like..."oh shoot..."

I think I worry too much for my own good ??? >:(

I STAND CORRECTED.......AOR FROM CPC -M !!!!!!

Like! I hope your hubby knows how blessed he is to have met you...

Thanks Frankfield, we are both so blessed to have found and complement each other so well.

My hubby tells me every single day how much he loves me and your message made me smile because something happened yesterday. You know how many jealous and bad mind & fake "Christians" people you can find in some communities? I always get angry with him because he is too good with everyone and when you give one inch, they take one foot! Someone always end up taking advantage of him. Anyways, yesterday someone he helped in various occasions and whom is does business with tried to get him in trouble with the police by not paying him is due, provocation and fake charges at the police station knowing that he's in an immigration process right now and therefore, most probably wouldn't fight back because of it. My clever husband gave me a call before doing anything stupid, I gave him advices and told him to get two witnesses with him and go to the police station right away even if it was very late...

The police officers told him that he shouldn't get any charge because the other person testimony didn't make any sense and that my husband could & should sue that same person, plus they would accompany him to get his belonging back at that persons place. He's well known in his parish, he's not a trouble maker plus because he's so nice to others, many people would back him up, we get to know the kind of persons we are growing up with.

We had a long conversation last night, I didn't sleep much, but he told me that every single day he give thanks & praises to God to have put me in his path. He also told me that he is a better man because of me, few years back he would have lost his temper and do something very stupid but not anymore because he feels so blessed to have found true love, having dreams and a future to share with me after this long process is over.... He knows there will be plenty of challenges, nothing will be easy but he's not afraid, we have each other, hopefully a baby on the way soon, and so many projects to look up to :)

You are wise to adjust the statement... You are both blessed to find each other. So often when we marry someone from Jamaica, there is an air of superiority that the man is or should recognize how lucky he is to have us marry him.(I refer to men who marry with good intentions) Kind of an insult isn't it? Or that he should bow down and worship at our feet for rescuing them from that wretched, cursed Jamaica. How dare they show loyalty to the place of their birth... feel apprehension about leaving the only place they know.. have cherished memories etc. After all Canada is heaven on earth.... equitable to all men. This forum is a blessing to us all, expose our prejudice, our weakness, our strength, our goodwill towards each other. But also set us on a path to challenge and change old ways of thinking etc. It is important that the immigration process be kept a secret..We never told anyone we were going through the process. The day before my husband left i had to say I cannot let you leave without telling your mom.. that is how serious my hubby is.. he boarded up his house and never breathe a word. But because we are human and must at some point put our trust in someone, men share and the result is that a crab who wishes for his buddy to stay in the barrel with him/her will see the opportunity for change as a failure on their part.

Continue to guide, encourage and build up your husband.. you always do this... chickie is also a veteran at this also, never putting down her man or where he comes from publicly.. always taking up for her man's home when the stress of immigration cause others to blame the country rather than the process. let the wickedness of this person's who tried to cause trouble come back to keep him company. Don't start me up on the "christian" thing, in actuality they are doing what they are taught.. fire and brimstone is said to be the weapon of their leader, no wonder the followers use malice, jealousy, violence/vicious means to solve their problems. Having said that feel pity rather than hate for this individual, stay clear from his path for he has told you who he his by way of his action. Trust no one beyond your immediate reach. ADVICE to others: Be conscious of how you present your husband's reality....... even if you found him in the gutter, it is a big mistake to make him feel like you are his saviour. The defensiveness and patriotic stance may very well come from the message you send him..., some unaware are definitely sending their men this not- so -nice message- stop it. Be blessed everyone... One must fight but ones home is sacred ground.. if he starts badmouthing Canada, you would not like it and believe me there is lots that could be said about our blessed country. So although Jamaica is little and "poor" place through the exploitation and robbery of other nations... it is home sweet home to the people who live there and beyond. Be blessed everyone... words to think about not to incite war..
