OMG! I still have to wait another month and half for the bring forward date :( lol

But you already know they are working on your application because your eligibility status changed to in process so you don't need to worry about that bring forward date.

Yes, there is a bring forward date of one year to the date you received Sponsorship approval.

Hi Nev how are you doing? Ready for your PPR call? I am curious about this topic as well. I just read on some other posts (about GCMS notes) that the BF date is now called the "due date" and the due date is one year from the date the application was submitted to CIC (not sponsor approval date). Is there any consistency?

Blessings.

Good evening everyone!!! Hope everyone is well. Tell me if I'm overstepping here please.
Nev and Carm , looking at the dates and your long wait... Besides the fact we're dealing with
Kingston, summer and strike.... Are they giving you any answers to your long wait?
My heart goes out to all those waiting so long...

Hi C&T! :D

Yes, hubby and I are still patiently waiting for the golden PPR phone call.

The bring forward date is called the due date in the GCMS notes and I can confirm that the annual bring forward date is one year to the date of receiving Stage 1 approval...speaking from experience.
;)

Good night Mrs. Davis! :D

KG extended my hubby's medical in February 2013, asked my hubby to submit another police certificate because the first one expired, and requested RPRF (which was already paid when we first applied). We have heard nothing since then...

The last time I ordered my GCMS notes (in July) the statuses hadn't started and there weren't any notes made by a visa officer.

*sigh*

PS - 'we are still within the posted processing timeline of 20 months' ::)

Thanks for replying Nev.... never sure if I'm getting too personal. I know we all have different circumstances.
20 months is crazy.... just can't let my head go there yet.... God bless You!!

I thought for sure when they extended his med in Feb , it meant he was just 3 months away.... reason
for the extension....

20 months is definitely not the norm so try not to worry too much... :-*

I guess that's why I was wondering if you and Carm had reasons for the long wait...

I think that's what most of us thought...

Thank you Nev

I don't believe anyone would truly know the answer to this unless they worked in the visa office. However, there should be a bring forward date/dates on your file.

For example, if they requested RPRF, they would put a bring forward date three months (just picking a random time line) from the day they asked for it. If they didn't touch your application within those three months, there would be a reminder for them at the third month mark and they should look at your application again and confirm you paid the RPRF.

My answer is based on information I have read on the forum...not from personal experience.

My hubby has never left the island, no children or previous marriage (for either of us), no criminal record, etc.

I guess we're special.
:D

Thanks Nev for answering... again... I'm praying for you

A visa officer has the ability to extend your medicals if it's within 15 months since the first medical was completed and it is the only thing holding up the final decision on your application. If the medical is extended then you won't have to re-do your medical.

Here is a thread on the topic...for your reading pleasure:
