Girl it's both ways for me the ring doesn't do any justice they still try to pick us up. One woman asked my husband oh ur married? He goes yes she goes oh ur cute
Love to talk to u. In Mobay my first time down a man asked my husband if I was for sale lol. He turns around and asks him could u afford her? She's my wife

lol I don't really get that line I get sexy gal lmao people kill me out here

LMAO " hot girl, u look good u know!"

I agree it is the only culture that likes it when you are "fleshy" LMAO if you start to lose weight they think you are sick LOL

I remember the first time I was called fatty down there and I just about clocked the poor guy....hubby was like "no he is giving you a compliment, it means he likes ya. I was like how the heck is that a compliment? but I have come to understand that when they call you whitey, fluffy, fatty, hot girl, they are all the same, just a regular compliment! I was in Morant Bay and a guy came by in a car and said "whitey where is your husband, I said in the market to which he replied " I wanna take you away from your husband" I replied " I don't think so buddy but thanks!" Jamaica is just a wonderful culture and a bred all on its own! (heartsick and missing JA, can ya tell?)

Hey Forum fam
Sounds like people are in good spirits I like the positive vibes. I leave for Montego Bay in 10 days I am so excited. I never told my husband I am coming I wanted to surprise him :) its coming up to our one year marriage anniversary. I can't relate to the "whitey" comments because I am half white and half Trini people don't know I am foreign till I open my mouth :). I can relate to the woman hitting on my husband in front of me I use to get mad but my aunty told me something that made me feel better "u should feel bad if no one want to look or speak to ya husband". Come on Kingston lets start hearing some good news!!!!

Welcome Flowers to our family I hope you have an amazing trip. Hubby will have a huge surprise that I'm sure he will be super excited to see you when he does. All the ladies and men can keep looking us but we know we're right for each other.

Hi Flower18, I really get ya girl LOL! I'm also mixed half Irish/Scottish-Haitien, understand & speak few languages, could also talk patois but as my mother tongue is french it truly sounds weard coming out of my mouth. Even my husband is having a blast when I do so :P I have to say that it is reciprocal when he speaks French LOL! At least we are trying...

It's the best wedding anniversary gift you'll both give each other. I spent two weeks with hubby for our 1st anniversary in June, it was wonderful as always, but passing so fast! Enjoy every second of it!!! Next trip in October for his B'day, can't wait!!!
