ok here is the link for the london visa office.....all the people on this forum are going through the same thing that you are. We are all from Kingston Jamaica Visa Office and they do things differently here. It is better if you link up with people who are going through the same visa office as yourself as they will know what to expect. Hope that helps you. All of us here submitted our medicals when we first applied, none of us get medical requests here.

well I was doing a search for a Paris visa office thread (which I can't find!) I happened across this and thought some might be interested in reading this. Kingston is in 7th place :(

These figures are from January 2012. They are the total number of non-parental (i.e. spousal and child) sponsorship cases sitting in the queue, ordered from largest backlog to smallest.

You can definitely see the link between longer processing times and backlogs in centres such as Islamabad and Singapore. Also notice that the countries that supply the majority of our immigrants, such as India and the Philippines, run large queues at any given time simply due to the volume of files that they process.

Here is the thread for the Paris office:

There are not many people going through the Paris visa office but the few people on the thread may be able to assist you with your questions.

Let's count our blessings that we're not in the top 3.

That is very true my friend

Where the heck is everyone on this beautiful Friday! Come out come out where ever you are!

It is a beautiful day to be sitting on a patio drinking some ice cold beers after a long week, which is precisely what I think I am going to do when I leave this office at 4 today! To bad no one lived near me and could join me!

Welcome back stranger!

I don't know what's involved in the background checks so hopefully someone will come along that does. If not, you can type 'background check' into the forum search engine and read what others have posted.

When did your hubby get called for his interview? When was it? Please share the experience with us when you have a moment.

I hope the interview was successful and that you and your hubby will be reunited in the very near future.

I was down in Jamaica for about a month and was hassling Kingston with emails everyday for weeks, finally getting my MP involved again cuz they had my husbands passport for well over a month. About two days after my MP emailed Kingston, Kingston emailed my back and informed us of my husbands interview in one week. We went for the interview on June 6th. I'm not really comfortable going into all of the details about why they asked for an interview, but when they asked me questions about our relationship it was like they hadn't even looked at the file. Baffles me. And they were rude in that they would whisper to each other, behind the glass, in French. If only i had paid more attention in school, lol.

They had your husband's passport for over a month and then you had your interview? I'm not trying to get up into your business but I like to learn as much as I can about this process to try and make some sense of it. I also didn't realize that they would interview the both of you. I'm really sorry to hear that they were rude and speaking in a language to one another that you didn't understand. That seems very wrong to me.

As I said before, I hope your hubby gets his passport back with the visa so he can get to Canada and you can go on with your lives TOGETHER.
:D
