awww...thanks. It was the best thing that has ever happened to be besides meeting my husband. It was an un expected pregnancy as I was told many years ago I would never be able to conceive. So it's a true blessing.

ohhh my that is wonder praise be to God.
My husband and I made a personal choice not to have any kids or our own. In a year or two we plan to adopt. I have always been passionate about all the children in the world who do not have a family and would love to one day be able to contribute a part of the solution and provide a happy home for one or two of those kids. Right now there are two kids from my husbands mom district that lost both there parents they did not any other relatives except for an elderly grandmother who passed away a little less than a year later. MY husband and his family took them in and have been raising them. We want once he reaches here to be able to legally adopt the two of them and bring them here. Right now i am in the process of seeking advice on our options.

Does anyone know about the international adoption process. From what I have been reading it seems like it will be a very difficult process.
Some places say it could take years and some say it is a 6 month process if anyone has any info that they could share with me I would be grateful. Also is there a page on here for adoption?

I know a friend of mine has been waiting for 3 years for a baby from Haiti

Very true words..Akiikwe.......we never ever pray for those ladies and gents looking after our files and we should! There are 1000's more applications besides our 30 someodd we have on this little forum, i am sure those workers are overwhelmed probably some days and may prayers sure go out to them to give them strength and guidance everyday while dealing with our applications....God bless and one love!

Thank you Chickie, there is days when we feel like cussin', cause we do not know what is happening with our files. But i keep thinking, what my grandma use to say...there is a whole bigger picture than just yourself...and they need our prayers too. I remember my grandma use to pray for people she didn't even know. So for me, the people who are working to make our dream a reality, also need to be a part of this circle of prayers.

Thank you Need to be with Hubby, I just dream of the day when this can become a reality and can put this process behind us. There is so many things that me and Maddants are planning and when he gets here and this will make everything complete. Plans for job hunting for him plans for his and my family. Even if times can be hard sometime, just by being together will make it more bearable. I feel for everyone on here as extended family. I wish everyone good blessings and pray/hope this process goes good and smoothly to be reunited with their loved ones!
