Thanks for the response chickie!

I had a thought come to my mind today after a friend of mine, who has been waiting more than a year, was asked by KGN for an IMM form. What if our files from 1+ years ago had forms go missing. Before me, the only forum member that had to do a redo form was Akinna. There was plenty of 1+ year applicants that never had to redo forms. Why now? I'm not certain but it's a thought that came to my mind....

It seems lately lots of people are getting asked for it....like it is something new they have added?

from JA too?

Yes.

I'm not saying their process is right and ours is wrong but it makes you wonder. I also know some Jamaicans who have ten year travel visas to the US and they can't get travel visas to come to Canada.

gsize? I don't know how she does it. Every time I get into one of my funks, I always think of her and what she has/is going through. I can't believe that her appeal was positive and she is STILL waiting. Thank goodness she has a sense of humour...

yes she is strong willed for sure!

But my thought only works if the applicants applied 1+ years ago

well that definitely is weird....but i guess that is just the different processing in different countries.....my husband always laughs says I can go anywhere I want in the world without have to get permission or a visa but they cannot go anywhere......they have to ask permission for so many places.

Friends of my husband married American girls and their processing times were all less than a year...from beginning to landing.
i know ...my friend out here married an american woman and 8 months he was gone and another friend got married too but he was turn down from the interview...look like he did not know so much about his wife

but Samillinaire applied in May of last year and they asked her, she submitted hers on the 26th and got PPR today.

Hmmmm, I can understand them asking for it (doesn't mean I have to like it!) especially if it has been a year or longer since applying. Things can change in that amount of time... Too bad it couldn't be a simple email instead of having to fill out the form again....

I think there are inconsistencies in theirs also. my hubby has a friend that waited 3 years to get from JA to Brooklyn NY

lol thats why i said it is weird and it is like it is something new they are asking for from alot of people....hopefully more people that have recently gotten their spouses home can comment and let us know if they had to complete this form....it would be interesting to find out and see.

Oh absolutely, but it's hard for my husband not to compare. And the rest of the parish too. ::) Everybody has an opinion...

Jamgirl when you submitted yours were they only asking for an update from time application went in to present?
