Anyone heard from Kingston? *sigh*
I received an email from them yesterday. I emailed them on March 6th to see if they had received all of my emails that I had sent to them to prove my marriage and to also find out if I should mail them the hard copies and they said no more documents are needed at this time.

That's great that they got back to you! Every bit of communication that someone gets makes us all feel better. :D

is "processing queue" the same as
In queue to be reviewed lol

The first answer I got back from Kingston in November 2012 said this:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your email below.

Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time . You will be contacted directly when your application has moved to the next stage of processing

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Regards

Immigration Section

Kingston, Jamaica

The second email I got in February 2013 said this:

application in queue for review by an officer. Patience appreciated and we will contact if anything further required

My status went into process on March 19th, 2013

So i would say that if it says in processing queue then it is in process to be sent over to an officer (on my notes I can see where they put a new file number and put assigned to and an officers # and assignment date -my assignment date was December 15th, 2012) after this time you will get an answer back like my second that says in queue for review by an officer (meaning it is on his desk and he will process them in order of receipt-so it was assigned to him but he hasn't currently picked it up yet) - my notes in February show that they started my eligibility process Jan 21st 2013.

Hope this helps.

Wo thanks for the detail I will bear all that in mind what I have been doing since Jan too. lol

I think a few people here have been asked to submit the updated Schedule A IMM 5669 and they just basically want to know what you have been doing since you submitted the application, like any address change, employment history.

Congrats to everyone getting through. Been here but kind of reading silently. I hope my time is coming soon. I see people are getting responses from KGN. I have emailed them the same email for the last 3 days. My husband insists I should leave well enough alone and thinks if I pest them too much they will take longer. Haha!

I have a little question. What is a RPF fee. I looked up the fees and the closest thing I could come
Up with was a right of permanent resident. At $490 ! Is what it stands for. Another 500 bucks is staring me down the pipes lol.
Again. Congrats to all that have gotten through or responses from KGN. And to those exactly like myself. You are always in my prayers.

My husbands record was when he was in Canada, it was was he was in his early 20s he's now 33 and is involved in the church, and is doing great things in his community. He's been back in Jamaica for 4 years now and the only think is he forgot to pay a ticket but once I reminded him he was there to pay it. I am going to be getting a lawyer, and should I be waiting for the pardon?

Thanks everyone its good to hear from people going through the same thing!

hey there sis......the pernament resident fee is the fee that you pay for your sponsor to become a permanent resident...if you dont pay that fee he or she cant become resident at all...my advice to you is if you have not paid that fee as yet is try and pay it soon or when you can before your application get to the end of the process so it dont hold you up.........everyone has to pay that fee.....
